We really enjoyed our stay at the Webersburg estate. Our room was in a beautiful Cape Dutch house and the property boasted amazing views of the mountains, which were on full display during their extremely good breakfast. Our only gripe was that the water pressure drops during load shedding, but fortunately they try to tell you in advance when that occurs so you can plan around it.

We arrived during load shedding, and there was only one working emergency light in the cottage, no fire lighters and not that much wood to keep the fire going. Also fireplace smoked the room out. The check in woman was kind and fetched us her own personal fire lighters. But they knew when we were arriving, and the place should have been checked for these basics including adding candles, matches, fire lighters, and checking emergency lights. Seems like a nice property but the welcome wasn't cozy, and it seemed like too few staff and not well trained to greet my US family. As it was their first experience of South African hospitality, I was embarrassed.

Oh Dear !
An absolute Gem. Can not fault the room, the Situation, The View, The Ambiance, but PLEASE an attention to detail was sorely missing. Reception was advertised open until 5 pm. We arrived 4.20 pm, reception closed. No one to greet us except George , the Security Man . He showed us to our lovely Apartment. The Advertised DSTV Satellite TV, in our room a bunch of wires. A Lady we phoned who agreed to have everything sorted, said She would phone back, but never heard from her again. George, eventually arrived at room, offered to change us to another Room. Sadly this Room had not been serviced, only recently vacated. But George a quite brilliant Employee, ( I truly mean that ) sorted everything out. We enquired about ' Advertised Breakfast', but no that did not exist. Please Owners, if you can not greet Visitors properly, please leave them some explanatory notes. Apart from this a quite Brilliant property.

First Class. Brilliant. Don't miss this place.
Love this place. We usually have a cottage by the lake. Very comfy and clean. The historic buildings are magnificent. The breakfasts are great. Love everything about the place with views of the mountains. Wish we were there now. Lovely staff too.

The Manor House or Jonkershuis?
The location is superb, but the room was dark and not very clean with some cobwebs and dust. The Manor House, where we stayed, was impressive, rustic and spacious. The room itself was a disappointment with no view at all. Breakfast was great in a beautiful setting overlooking the mountains.

An overnight stay at the winery
We only stayed a single night at the wine estate as we were tired of driving. The room was very nicely decorated and the bath had all the amenities to make a romantic experience. The room was very nice and had an elegant older look to the furnishing, like you would expect in a winery hotel. The breakfast was very good.

The view from our cottage is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The breakfast was also very nice, and the picnic basket in our room after a day of wine tasting was perfect. My only negative is we booked a cottage with two king beds for two adults and got one of the rooms with twin beds. That was of no use to us.

A good base for exploring Stellenbosch
We only got to spend one night here but it is our second visit. We really enjoy our time at the estate, we stayed in the Manor House which allows you to experience a little bit of history. The wine tasting and restaurant is good and they have some good red wines. It is in a good location to explore Stellenbosch. The staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds are lovely.

Wonderful location. Amazing restaurant view service and food. Unit lacked utensils and was rather basic in amenities. People walked past and looked in while you were still in bed so a little lacking in privacy. Great pool but no pool towels.

What a GORGEOUS place! The views. The smell of fresh air. Animals EVERYWHERE, lots of wildlife. Relaxing place with delicious wine! Everything about our stay was perfect!

The farm itself is beautiful with a lovely lunch spot. Grounds are beautiful and the wine is great. The main manor house is lovely however I would not recommend the cottages. We checked in and checked out within 45 minutes and had to find alternative accomodation. The pictures on the website are misleading and the cottages are no where near the standard of the main house. Our cottage in particular seemed to be “rundown”. Outside table was cracked and completely weathered along with the sun loungers and the decor was a bit of a laugh with pictures and mirrors all skew and off centre. All the cottages could do with a new paint job as they are peeling at the base of the buildings. Much better value for your money elsewhere in the area unless you are in the main manor house.

A place to relax for whoever need it.
The evening outside our cottage, on the terrace with srudle vine from the wine estate was magic in the sunset light, with all the beautyful view. We enjoyed the swimmingpool and the relaxing atmosphere in the sun bed.

Lovely, peaceful vineyard
The grounds of the estate are amazing and we received amazing service from front desk! Thank you for accommodating our late flight home so well! The wine tasting service could be improved to match surrounding vineyards, but we did arrive late in the day and they were prepping for a wedding. Breakfast views are very special but the cooked option quality varied across our two night stay from average to great. Wifi in the room is tedious with constant logins required.

A real treat
Wonderful place to stay and experience the wonders of the area. Everything about this place is special. The setting, the views etc. The only negative was that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Expedia does not tell you this. We had to drive elsewhere for a meal but the hotel did do us a cheese and meat platter for the evening. Despite this we still would highly recommend Webersburg.

Fantastic stay on a wonderful boutique winery
We loved our stay at the webersberg winery. Our cottage was spacious with a living area, kitchen separate bathroom and spacious bedroom.we had a lovely patio with the most amazing views across the lake and the mountains. The breakfast was wonderful, one of the best our entire stay. This was served on a splendid terrace with fantastic views. The staff were so nice and could'nt do enough for you. We got a free wine tasting which was great. The winery is next to Ernie Els which is great too for a visit. I would certainly recommend this for a wonderful stay in stellenbosch.

My wife and I are spending a couple weeks in South Africa and stayed two nights at Webersburg. It was wonderful. Our room was one of five in the Manor House, which was built in 1786 and beautifully restored by the current owners. There were also five common rooms and a swimming pool. The room came with a free deluxe breakfast and not just a cheap continental one. Oh and there’s a free wine tasting of their excellent wines. The grounds and surrounding vistas are bucolic joys. The staff were bright, attentive, helpful, and pleasant. Complaints? They don’t serve dinner but point you to other excellent restaurants in the area. There is construction on the road leading into the estate causing a few delays.

Gorgeous scenery, comfortable room.
It is over 200 years old, yet well maintained and renovated with all the modern amenities. A delicious breakfast was included in the patio. The wine tasting was excellent. The vineyards and grounds looked fabulous. I highly recommend it.

Love it here
We love the experience of a small cottage in the Winelands. We have a quiet coffee by the lake before breakfast and then move to the main building and eat by another beautiful lake. Water conservancy has been practiced for years here.Grape vines are in great shape.

Stunning place inmidst the vineyards.
Wonderful place to stay: Large clean rooms, quiet and a perfect service. Breakfast which was included was delicious and a feast for the eyes. It´s worth double the price and would still be a good offer.
