V&A Waterfront is one of the best places to visit in Cape Town. It is exceptionally clean, safe, and welcoming, with friendly staff and security personnel always visible, making it comfortable to explore both during the day and in the evening. There is something for everyone—great restaurants, shopping, live entertainment, beautiful harbour views, and spectacular views of Table Mountain. Everything is well organised, and the atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed. We had a wonderful stay, and one of the highlights was the breakfast experience. The food was excellent, with a great variety and fresh options every morning. A special thank you to Josh and David, who were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. Their friendly service and genuine hospitality made every breakfast enjoyable, and they always made us feel welcome. Their exceptional customer service truly enhanced our stay. Thank you, Josh and David, for making our mornings so memorable! A must-visit destination for anyone travelling to Cape Town. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff was great and attentive! Unfortunately my low rating is due to the property which in my opinion is in need of revamping. For the price point, the rooms and property itself did not make any sense to me. I suppose the location (and great breakfast) are the stars of the show! Which absolutely deserve the recognition! Right on the pier, insane view of the mountain/rock in the morning when the clouds roll out. On a final note, I would not return to stay overnight at the property. The rooms were lackluster fitted with what seemed like storm shelter metal bathroom doors, the room felt barren and not in a minimalist decor type of way. More like, the room was missing items, as if I was visiting a friend who got her first real job now living in her first real apartment with her first real piece of furniture, a cool designer couch while nothing else filled the space. This is definitely more of a business hotel and would be okay if your company decided to pay for it. Otherwise grab a beverage at the hotel cafe or sit outside and enjoy a coffee. However I would not stay there for leisure.

We had problems with not having hot water for 2 days in a row only on the second day did they send someone to come look at the problem. Breakfast was amazing and the view on table mountain fantastic. !! Thank you for the champaign in the room for our anniversary and my h/bands birthday.

Booked it because of the location and it was just ok. The nicest staff by far were the porters and wait staff I felt the restaurant manager was a little rude when I kept insisting breakfast was included with my room package We had three rooms and did not receive one complimentary bottle of wine like our package suggested Had to call down and let them know mini fridge was totally empty because I did not want to be charged My kids had different cleaning ladies and had turndown service with chocolates on the pillow we did not location was good for table mountain and lions head
