"The location is wonderful and unique. The sea seems the caribbean. Unluckily the management of the place is anachronistic. You pay a hotel price for a super basic service. "The property is really beautiful and well designed. We signed up for their tasting menu on two occasions and were a little disappointed in the food. The dinning area is stunning but you can’t choose what you want to eat so unfortunately we didn’t really love what was offered. Knowing the menu ahead of time or the ability to choose from a few options would have been much appreciated. We were never told the price of the prefix menus either and were a little shocked upon checkout. Just a heads up"

"Loads of (old) caravans for hire. Our bungalow was probably still occupied by people that where cleaning up the site to seasons start. Upgraded to (nice modern) mobile home, but charged 10 Euro for bedlinnen and they wanted 10 euro per towel also. We refused that. Wifi looked OK at the site but only worked at the reception for 5 euro a day.."

"My husband and I loved our stay at Uddastri Retreat. We were greeted by the hosts on arrival and given a tour of the place. Our room was stunning with incredible detail on the decor. The breakfast was great and the pool area was amazing! Overall I do not have a bad thing to say about this place. Location is easy enough to get to and you can be in Oblia within 20 mins! Would definately recommend this place! "

"Cavallo is an idyllic and beautiful island. Unfortunately the hotel is no longer run in a first class way and I could not in good conscience recommend staying here (especially at these prices). For example, there is a ferry that takes you to the island. We called the hotel bc we were 3 mins late (after a 17 hour flight from California that wasn't so bad). The hotel assured us they would contact the ferry and make sure they would wait those three minutes. The ferry said no one ever contacted...

"Fantastic hotel, wonderful welcome with a glass of Prosecco, we were taken to our room which was perfectly appointed, beautiful outside furniture, lovely pool but a bit chilly! Breakfast was served morning in the main restaurant, every thing you could want. Lunch was great and the dinner in the main restaurant was fantastic. We will definitely be back, so relaxing! "
