With Fiuggi being a smaller town I didn’t expect the staff to know English that well but the in fact did!! They were more than happy to help me out, answer any questions I had, and meet all my accommodations. The hotel is easily the best 4 star hotel in the region, and the spa was the perfect cherry on top. I’ve never been to a spa before but this was easily one of the best and most fun experiences I’ve had as a solo traveler. The indoor pools had messaging water jets and the saunas were so spacious and clean. Additionally, the free hotel activities like riding through town on E-bikes were an absolute blast! I was fortunate to have Davide from the hotel show me around town and he was incredibly friendly and even showed me great spots to eat in town that only locals know about. I was here for 3 days and I can surely say I cannot wait to come back and bring my girlfriend with me. This hotel was an incredibly mature spot, with a gourmet restaurant and minimal kids, so there was never a time I was annoyed by another guest." If you need a place to stay clean and have no luggage it is ok. But for 85 euros a night it is not worth it." We have 8 children between ages 2 to 16 and we were swallowed up in the massive rooms. All of the children enjoyed it: the pool, the massive basement playroom and billiard table, the great stone fireplace where we lit a fire one cooler evening in October.The host Lucia was extremely kind to us although we arrived very late because of heavy traffic and losing our way, and was readily helpful but respectful of our privacy during our stay.The enchanted fountains of the Villa d’Este or the Villa Adriana are a short drive, and Rome centre can be reached easily in under an hour by driving to the end of line B and taking the Metro at Rebibbia.This is in our opinion very definitely superb value for a larger group or family such as ours, who have a car to get around. We will remember the villa as a fascinating character whom we met on the holiday."
