Nice room and close to beach a nice boardwalk....restaurant close by within walking distance.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Otter Inn. I love staying where you can park in front of your room. Location was fantastic for walking and some dining. Great idea of checking off what you want for breakfast the night before, and have it delivered in a picnic basket the next morning. Coffee maker in room or just go to office where they have fresh coffee made. If you didn't get enough to eat in your basket a tray of pastries are found in the Inn's lobby. Also, cookies are available in the afternoon. I enjoyed grabbing one as I checked in. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice size bathroom with a large vanity to place toiletries. Just a few minutes to town by car. The beach boardwalk is amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed for one night but couldn't ask for more. Very clean with attentive staff and tasty breakfast. The backyard is great for bird watching the everything to do in the town is walking distance.

Just loved the character this little motel had. Directly across street from ocean. Lovely little cottage like rooms. Cute breakfast basket gets delivered to room along with pot of coffee. Would come back in a heart beat.

The only thing I didn't care for was the cars parking right in front of the 2 foot wide lawn they have for a siting area so you are siting down looking at the ocean and here comes some ass ho with a train of a truck n parks right in front of your view

They currently, 9-25-16, have about half their rooms closed for renovation. The renovation is a complete gut and start over. Should be nice. The location is excellent and for us was quiet. Was stayed in what they call a cottage which has a fireplace and a patio. It was not renovated. It is old, but then so am I. It was a time trip back to the '60's. We didn't mind. Though things are old and a bit worn, the carpet was newer and the mattress was good. Things were in good repair and clean. The continental breakfast was average, I liked that they had bagels and cream cheese, and had hard boiled eggs in addition to the usual cereal and sugary stuff.

We spent 4 nights here, in a "partial ocean view" room that was beautiful and serene. It had a gas fire place, a microwave and refrigerator as well as a coffee pot and a king-size bed, and a table with four chairs for in-room dining. The wood/laminate floor really set the ambiance for a clean, calm space. The complimentary breakfast was OK - the pastries were better than one might find elsewhere. Other fare included hard-boiled eggs, fruit, a bread/muffin assortment, granola, vanilla yogurt and packets of instant oatmeal, along with juice, milk, coffee and tea. With the window open, I fell asleep and awoke to the sound of the sea (and one morning to the sound of garbage collection but that's just part of life). Housekeeping was efficient and unobtrusive. The room was immaculate when we checked in. Being right across the street from Moonstone Beach and the board walk was wonderful. I started every morning with a walk along the boardwalk and also along the beach, which is lovely and was fairly sparsely populated. It was fun to watch the dolphins in the distance, and the surfers, as well as to collect pretty rocks and watch the little kids play in the surf. It was too chilly for me to want to get in the water, but if one was going to actually swim, paying attention to the surf and areas of undertow would be critical. This is a perfect place to relax, and recharge.

Clean, beautiful view of ocean. Shared balcony which was strange not very private.
