All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size but looked very worn-out. Only one bath towel when we got there, but to be fair they gave us another one and apologised about it. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. The room was cheap enough though so quite good value for money and we would probably stay again

The first room we were allocated looked as though the beds had been sat on, so we asked for a different room, and that one was fine. Soap and shower gel were the only toiletries provided and meagre amounts of tea and coffee were in the room. More was given on request and plant based milk too, which was great. We didn't eat at the hotel because as a vegan and a vegetarian, suitable food choices were limited, plus the information we were given was that, because we were staying out of season some services were unavailable. The Receptionist was helpful, though some issues (like how to get the TV to work, or the heating or wifi) could be resolved by providing more information in the room. Overall, the accommodation was suitable for the purposes of our stay.

I was absolutely over the moon with this hotel. Don't listen to the negative reviews. It was an absolute delight. Anil and the Nepalese manager (didn't catch the name) were so pleasant and they were friendly, helpful and great at their job! And the cleaner with the red hair was top notch! I had a quadruple room for 3 people for 2 nights and it was HUGE. It was one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. I was so impressed that the ironing board, iron, hairdryer, extra blankets and extra pillows were already in the room. Absolutely loved the wooden wardrobes and drawers. There is an old style vintage look to the hotel. It's not modern, but it's not supposed to be, so don't expect it (like the reviews) for it to be a 5*. There is a marble staircase and on the floor above, there is a really unique roof with a beautiful chandelier. And the hotel key was a gold bar - so impressive! THE VIEWS OF THE LAKE ARE STUNNING. It was so peaceful. The hotel even had darts to play! First day of breakfast buffet got told since there is less than 15 people today, there won't be a breakfast buffet so we would need to order what we would like. I found this a bit disappointing at first, but actually worked out really well, the cooked breakfast by the chef was EXCELLENT. The teas, coffees, pastries, juice, cereal, all unlimited. The second day, had the hot breakfast buffet and was wonderful. They also had vegi sausages upon request- bonus! 100% coming back again. Great value for money.

Parking was great. Nice big car park and free. Felt safe and tucked away. We did not have breakfast. Evening menu appears to be pizza or pizza Not allowed to take own food or drinks ,🤔 we went to a nice pub instead. Bar was a bit pricey but it's a hotel so expect it. Looks a little dated but it was really nice. Lovely lake to look out in. No noise at all which was nice. We had requested ground floor as husband is disabled. The receptionist was amazing and helped us as this had not been requested from the booking. Could not fault anything for the price we paid
