"Overall clean and neat.
Staff are friendly.
Location is good. Short driving distance to most attractions and easy parking around hotel.
Room’s a bit old but still comfortable, good value for the price."

"The rooms on the 12th floor were amazing and actually updated really well. We had a modern TV, big bed, it was quiet and the view was amazing. The staff was really helpful.
Unfortunately, the pool was closed during our stay. Restaurant staff very helpful, we had a nice dinner."

We spent four days in the Alamanda in a 2 bedroom suite as part of a family reunion. The suite was spacious, comfortable. clean and surprisingly well-equipped - it felt more like a home than a hotel. The location is superb - right on the beach and backing on to a creek (sadly we never saw the crocodile that was reputed to live there!). And the facilities (three pools, including one for adults only) were all we could wish for.

Outstanding lodge in a nature reserve with great facilities and friendly helpful staff. The chalet accommodation was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped, and the location in the nature reserve was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Only stayed one night, but wish we had stayed at least one more. Having said that, it was not cheap, but good value for what was on offer.

We had a lovely stay, the location in port douglas was perfect with a nice walk to town. The staff were extremely helpful. The apartment was very spacious on 2 levels and perfect for 2 adults and an infant.

Lovely large room with separate bedroom. Air con throughout although bedroom air con unit noisy and not always responsive. Basic items for eating food and microwave to heat things up. Great views out over the water watching the boats and ships coming and going. Laundry on site was a bonus. Very convenient for all the downtown activities.

Excellent 2 bedroom penthouse apartment with everything you would need. An amazing pool which was warm and a joy to spend time in and plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar.

Good hotel in a great location, quite big but had a personal touch as the staff were very helpful. Although we were on a floor that had not been refurbished, the room was clean, large and had everything we needed, would recommend staying here.
