Traveling through various regions of Spain and this hotel was one of our favorites! Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms with thoughtful amenities. The only hotel that has offered tv programming in English which was a bonus. The area isn’t the most appealing, and there weren’t many great food choices in the immediate area, but many options are within a 15-20 minute walk. I would definitely choose another Monte brand property for any European stay.

Great Hotel with Great Staff
Great hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. Rooms are clean and adequately equipped with mini bar, good quality toiletries and a decent shower. Breakfast is good, with plenty of fresh fruit and the usual continental meats and cheeses. Location-wise, the beach is literally 2 minutes away and there is a Carrefour supermarket next door. The old city walls are a ten minute walk, and as it is flat, not too strenuous for getting into the rest of the old city. While there are other larger hotels further East in Cadiz and closer to the trendier bars, I'd definitely choose Monte Puertatierra over them.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Staff was efficient and welcoming. The room was very well appointed. We requested a kettle which we got. The location suited us well and all and all our stay was a pleasure.

Modern Cadiz hotel
The hotel is clean and modern and the staff are friendly and efficient. It is near a lovely beach and nice little cafes for breakfast. The walk to the old town is about 18 minutes. We had a very large terrace. The only flaw was the absence of a real bar. What exists is a soulless room with a few drinks. Pity. Overall we would stay again and we recommend it to others.

Lovely stay
Staff were welcoming and professional. Room was a good size and they provide good facilities such as coffee machine, slippers and full size toiletries. Hotel was near beach and a 15 minute walk to town. Plenty of bars and restaurants. We stayed for a week but 3/4 days is plenty to see the city.

If you are staying in Cadiz, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!! By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at!! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and no problem is too big for them to solve. The rooms are huge and well appointed with USEFUL, beautiful, comfortable furniture. The bed was the biggest I have ever seen LOL. LOVED MY STAY!! Right around the corner from the beach, and many bars / restaurants. Not far from old city either.

Great Location and Staff
Great hotel located a block from the Waterfront. Fantastic buffet and very friendly staff. 15 minute walk along waterfront to the Old City makes it perfect for sightseeing.

Location was great. Parking on premises. It is important to inform hotel you need a parking space. We recommend superior room. We had our own private terrace. The rooms are very large and modern. The breakfast had an amazing variety and assortment of smoke fish, cheeses even champagne and liquor. It was excellent.

When we participated in a guest survey, we simply mentioned the rooms were hot (AC disabled during winter in favour of heating). Without saying a word the hotel or complaining, this feedback was picked up by the hotel management and a portable fan was delivered to our room while we were out. Credit to the hotel for picking up on a minor point and going the extra mile, this doesn't normally happen these days!

We stayed one night at this hotel. We were assigned a designated spot for parking our car. Parking space was comfortable unlike other places. Angel, the front desk manager, was courteous, friendly, and helpful. He was empathetic towards our adult son who has autism. The room was large, well lit, and clean. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast buffet was good.

Relaxing stay close to the beach.
This Hotel was in a great position for our stay in Cadiz, near the beach and a good stroll into the City and 'old town' along the promenade. A very clean & modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff, rooms were fairly spacious and comfortable with all the usual extras and amenities. You could even request a choice of your preferred 'pillow' to ensure you get a good rest. The breakfast was of the usual type (hot and cold foods) in a buffet style and offering quite a good range, (even 'Cava' or Herbias!). However there was limited cereal choice and not a lot of variation on the hot food counter over a period of a week. The 'miniBar' in the room was helpful to keep a few things cool and would have benefitted from having a few spirits to choose as well. On the whole a good value Hotel and attentive staff, advising visitors with good options and suggestions.
