Bad odors. Shower had mold .Very outdated. No smoke alarm. I honestly wanted to leave but I was too tired. Parking lot was in bad shape with potholes. I would never go back.

I didn’t expect greatness from this place, but did expect acceptable. Unfortunately, I didn’t find much that was acceptable from the moment my van nearly disappeared in the enormous pot holes in the main entrance to my departure 7 days later. The construction workers obviously keep this business alive, and are allowed to be obnoxiously loud all night despite multiple complaints as you’ll read in many other reviews. I was lucky enough to also have active roofing and remodeling projects above and next door to me during my stay. They are too stingy to even provide simple commodities such as coffee packets, unless you go to the office to request them, and are lucky enough to get the unfriendly manager to come out to help you. Old, not fancy, not 5 star service are all good with lower price point motels. This place takes these concepts to a level beyond imagination. Don’t stay here. They don’t care. They don’t need you. They don’t want you. You’ll just be getting in the way of their affordable housing for construction workers business!

I did not actually stay at Sun & Snow Motel, because the room I was assigned, although it was a non-smoking room reeked of smoke. They assigned me to another room, which was just as bad, so I cancelled my stay!

Has to make a last minute reservation and used Expedia. Motel room was very depressing - spent as little time as possible in or around it. Luckily there was a small state park next door and ate pizza dinner there. Next time I will google places near Sleeping Bear dunes rather than use Expedia

Bathroom smelled of urine. Had to stand right in front of TV to get remote to work. Microwave barely worked. Fridge had no temp control and froze contains. The towels were thin and felt like sandpaper.

trouble locking the door, noisey neighbors that obviosly lived there, very outdated. has coffee pot but no cups etc. close to lake. could be a nice place with some TLC and removal of riff raff living there

Location is nice, right on the lake. Therefore, loud parties continued quite late. The room was inadequately lit and the bathroom was the size of that on a cruise ship. No breakfast; coffee, but no tea or creamer in the room.

My first room smelled like sewage (room 22). It was very annoying. The desk clerk provided another room and mentioned he just paid for a cleaning services and it should not be that way. I got another room (19). It smelled like cigarette smoke. I had to leave the door open in a blizzard to air it out. It helped a little. I really enjoyed walking over to Lakeside charlie's next store. The highlight of my stay.

This is absolutely a BUDGET motel. It is older and has not been updated at all. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The non smoking room did smell like smoke. For what I paid it met my expectations.

The actual Hotel was fine, it was the loud, drunk and obnoxious room next door that made it uncomfortable, screaming and slamming the doors throught the entire night

Room was dated, sidewalks were very icy with no salt, small bathroom with no hot water, wanted to leave after first night but was not given the option for a refund for the following nights, room was in rough shape, had a smell to it.

Nice clean property old school and I love it. Don't know what all these Karen's are on here complaining about I paid $58 a night for my stay. If you want a five-star hotel then go somewhere else if you want a convenient place to go ice fishing close to everything stay here on the cheap cheap
