"A very nice room with patio doors looking out onto countryside. Comfy bed, handy fridge / toaster / kettle with a sofa to relax on. My fewer stars on the staff/service is not a criticism but a reflection on the fact that I didn't actually meet anyone! Received an informative email before arrival and the key was in a lock box so there was no personal interaction needed."

"Excellent food. Fabulous service from reception, bar and restaurant. Beautiful location with amazing views. Friendly hospitable staff. Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable and spacious. It’s an old building with the related issues (you’d creak a bit if you were that old!). The breakfast buffet was limited however the cooked breakfast food more than made up for this. The evening meals were outstanding. We were part of a group of 6 and none of us were disappointed with the choice or quality. "

"I can’t praise this hotel enough I’ve stayed all over the world in some fabulous hotels but this was outstanding. From the moment we arrived our host Pam made us more than welcome even allowing us to take part in their Burns night that they had on that evening . If you’re visiting this area and are lucky enough to get a room this has got to be the best place to stay ."

"Staff were friendly. There are alot of homeless out in the mall. Glad of the card access to get into the building as use lift. It's within walking distance to the waterfront and Beatles story. The booking was made with laundry access in mind. Both floors had one washing machine out of action. The following day my washing machine failed, putting on a 15 minute wash became 90 minutes with no spin and then on spin separately that failed.
