Lovely hotel great location

Posted 03-Jan-2017
We were not expecting too much as the price was so good. We were in for a big surprise. The position of the hotel is perfect for everything in the city centre and the shopping areas and very easy to get to and park. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was perfect for the three of us with lots of room even with two double beds. The whole hotel was extremely clean and very well decorated to make you feel very comfortable when returning after a show. The breakfast was excellent value and the fact that kids eat free a real bonus. Another very nice touch was the games that were put out for the kids. This kept them occupied whilst parents had a hard earned drink and also kept them quiet! Well done Novotel Bristol. We will certainly be back and tell all our friends.

Good hotel, conveniently located

As you would expect from a big chain hotel: clean, quiet, friendly staff. The room was big and reasonably comfortable. Wifi in the room is free but very slow.

This was a lovely hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I had room service for breakfast. It was lovely,on time and there was no extra charge. The bar area was lovely and comfortable and again the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Bad condition, run down room, poor staff

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything else
Location: 10 minutes walk from Temple Meads station and close to Bristol Bridge and city centre
Arrived early and adamentently told check in wasn't until 2pm. That's fine but would have been nice for reception staff to even pretend to be a little more accommodating. When I did check in, given a disabled room that quite frankly was in the poorest condition I've seen for a 4* hotel. Stains on the carpet, bathroom was dirty and sink was so low I had to shave in the bedroom. Water pressure was awful for the over-bath shower that again was something from the 1980s. Location of the hotel is great and buffet breakfast ok but lots of competition in Bristol so stay well clear of this one. Usually stay in lots of Novotel's but this will be the last time I do so!

Close to the City Centre

Posted 30-Oct-2016
Pros: The location. The breakfast.
Cons: Change linen daily.
Location: So much to see and do.
We asked for a quiet room. The room had a queen size bed. Our original room was supposed to have a king size. It really did not matter. The room was quiet. We were happy with it. The breakfast was very good. Plenty to eat and a good choice. Clean white linen and towels.

Good location. Good staff. Bit pricey

Fine but just a bit pricey, eg £10 to park overnight and other £15.00 for breakfast (I passed).

Fairly central and quiet

Posted 17-Oct-2016 on Ebookers
Pros: Easy check in and check out
Cons: Terrible cramped car park. Completely unsuitable for large cars. Bland room.
Quite a mediocre hotel, which benefits from a good location. Basic and slightly overpriced. Terrible car park, unless you have a tiny car. Just average in every other way.
