Air conditioning worked only in one bedroom and was used to cool the entire place (two bedroom apartment). The system ran all day and could not be adjusted (two remotes provided did nothing). There were about 5 sets of cutlery and the stove top while functional was not really heating the provided pans/pots to cook anything too complicated. Oven worked fine however and worked for us on some simple frozen meals. The apartment is nice, modern furnishings and a good location for exploring Brisbane. Compared to other self catering accomodation we have stayed at the provisions at Cirque were very basic (cutlery and crockery) they are really not set up for cooking etc. and only minimal supplies, 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people - 3 nights. No handsoap, tissues, dishwashing liquid. Easy access for bus and ferries.However our unit was facing Brunswick Rd and you could not use the balcony due to road noise. Secure undercover parking is good, although the car spaces are very tight. The unit could improve on these things: -provide dishwasher detergent, more than 1 dishwashing sachet- we stayed for 4 nights! - buy better quality cutlery and more plates etc - overall furniture quality was cheap - uncomfortable lounge and bed - laundry door was unhinged - small coffee plunger that was unusable due to damage to mesh. For the price we paid we would expect a coffee machine - stairs from carpark are a major concern if you have mobility issues or elderly - we did not receive our code for the lockbox until almost check in time - bathroom mirror needs replacing and some major concerns happening with shower wall and cracks in corners My husband and I felt we paid too much for our stay. We would not stay again. There were multiple serious failures in apartment 15: • No hot water! • Air conditioning not working and no ceiling fans although it is advertised as such • Very sub standard washing machine • Power points marked with “danger” • A faulty bedside lamp that was flickering through the first night. • No front door or garage security. Anyone can walk in to the property and upstairs. • An intoxicated stranger sitting in the stairwell and then appearing at my door • Lack of supplies - no soap ! In addition, there were 52 stairs to our apartment. I would not stay there if I had to go into Brisbane cbd though.
