There is also a large choice of accommodation just to the east of Sindelfingen and the city centre, in Fasanenhof, Möhringen and the environs of Stuttgart Airport. Breuningerland Shopping Centre
A household name in the Baden-Württemberg region, Eduard Breuninger’s flagship Breuninger store opened in Marktplatz in 1881, now the head office outlet and the second largest in Europe after Harrods. In 1952 the company introduced Breuni Bear, its mascot and still a favourite with children today, and in the 1960s it broadened from being a textiles vendor to a general department store. Its move to introduce the Breuningerland shopping centres in the 70s cemented its future as a leading retailer, paving the way as the first German store to introduce a loyalty card, in 1959, the first to provide a multi-storey car park, and one of the first to build in-store lifts.

Visitors can peruse shop after shop of leading German retailers, as well as ubiquitous global brands, or make use of the amenities within the complex -- a sports workshop, which can do everything from fine-tune your skis to string your tennis racquet; an alterations service; beauty rooms and a children’s play area. The hungry shopper can refuel with tempting pastries at the Breuninger Confiserie, high-end global specialities in (karls)kitchen, and a wide collection of wines in the Sansibar.
