We were required to pay two separate deposits — one at booking and an additional deposit in order to receive the keys. These fees were not clearly disclosed upfront in the listing. When we contacted VRBO, they confirmed that all required fees should be disclosed at booking, and this situation did not align with their policy. While the deposit was eventually refunded, it created unnecessary stress and confusion at check-in.The check-in process was also impacted by a timed lockbox, so coordinating arrival time is important.
