The first room I had was being used by someone who ravaged the room that looked like they had just recovered from a divorce with a stranger. The second room was nice and clean, but I was upset by the dominos pizza left in the fridge and the hidden cigarette lighter by the window sill that was impossible to hook. The lady teary eyed at the entrance was kind, and the breakfast was enjoyable and the coffee. It was courteous. I don’t blame them it looks like someone used the room that did not truly care about subtle details. The Gideon bible had a nice marker passage left in it for me from exodus. I really like finding those things in hotels to know where the Bible crime is that everyone in cities and towns seem to be lying about since that was supposed to be the point of my life… Making it impossible to unnotice crime. Not letting them all unselfishly process and then saying it’s selfish to notice the crime they do as they wipe away every single thing I care about and live for. But the hotel was actually really nice to have for one of the biggest crashes of life in my thirtires

I liked the motel very much. Sadly, I was awakened by the people in the room next door at around 4 am. They were definitely on something Loud talking, yelling, singing etc. continued until about 9:30 am, when I guess they finally went to sleep. Having those people next door was scary and disruptive.

****FYI, there is no Uber here or taxi service! Public transportation is one bus (which is free) that stops running around 5pm and does not operate on Sundays***** Black Mountain Inn was a nice stay, room was clean, staff was friendly and readily available. There are a few convenient things within walking distance, like a grocery store, some places to eat and a bowling alley, but downtown and any actual sites are at least 2 miles away. We travelled here via the Amtrak train that stops in downtown and overall had a nice stay, but was unaware that you basically need a car to do anything. If you have said car, I recommend Black Mountain Inn.

Very convenient location and very friendly staff, but this is a very old hotel with outdated facilities. Nothing would be considered luxury. Shower head would be too low for a 5’8” person. Towels and other amenities were very cheap. A big step down from a Holiday Inn.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear that we did not meet your expectations, but we are not a luxury hotel-and we never have claimed to be. We are,rather, a well appointed mid-economy motel and for the money we do our very best to offer our guests a competitive rate with amenities like HBO,free wifi, upgraded hypoallergenic bedding and a variety of pillows for a variety of tastes! Our apologies that the shower head in your guestroom was installed incorrectly-we will rectify that as soon as possible. Our apologies we were not a good fit for you but we are happy to hear that you enjoyed our stellar location and amazing staff!

After having driven for several hours in literally torrential rain at night, we were soaked when we arrived at the Blue Mountain Inn where we had reserved the ONLY room available in a very wide area that had a room for one night on an unexpectedly busy weekend. The price at the Inn was more than reasonable. We expected the last available room would be the worst. Though there were only outside, covered stairs to go to the second floor of the Inn, we were pleasantly surprised by our bright, spacious, modern room fitted with desk, sofa bed, frig, micro wave, coffee maker, large mirrors, and comfortable king bed that was dressed with blanket, comforter, bolster pillow, and covered in a unique coverlet of birch-tree design which nicely complemented the wood, metallic & black marble furniture. We rested in the (dry) bathrobes that were provided while watching HBO which we don't have at home! The only flaw was a loose safety bar in the bathtub. The front desk staff were accommodating and congenial, offering cookies, coffee, and treats at the counter when we arrived, and a wide variety of FRESH fruits, pre-wrapped muffins, yogurt, canned juice, hot coffee and tea, all of which was ready as a "Take-to-Go" breakfast the next morning. Our night at the Inn was the very best part of our miserable day. We have already highly recommended the Inn to family members and hope to return ourselves for a longer stay. Thank you, Blue Mountain Inn!

Awesome Little Hotel
We were in Vermont for leaf peeping. This hotel proved to the best location for day trips to the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The nightly rate was affordable and the owner was very personable. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Definitely recommend. Would stay here again.

Good value for the amount paid. The motel room is clean and well kept. Careful attention is paid to all the little details. It is a basic room; nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. Note that the doors lead straight to the outside so there is some outside noise that can be heard.

Decent spot just north of downtown Brattleboro. Simple room, clean, comfortable bed, although the sink is in the main bedroom and not the bathroom which is kinda weird. The woman at the front desk was pleasant.

We are a strictly enforced non smoking property and require smokers to refrain from smoking more than 25ft from the building. Housekeeping staff has laundered everything in that guestroom including the curtains in light of your comments. Thank you for letting us know about the cobb web the bathroom, it has been addressed. We hope you will try us again and see how we have improved!

Ms. Tina (owner) and her daughter were lovely and so were her other staff members. Ms. Tina was very warm and welcoming to our family. The breakfast was grab and go and Ms. Tina even made hot chocolate milk for my son. Thank you for your kind hospitality. We only stayed one night but we will be back! We loved the aquarium, meeting Jerry (cat), and the koi fish pond. Thank you again.

Since you have not detailed anything in specific-we are not sure what was a miss. The guest room you were in was outfitted with new furniture, carpet, plank tile bathroom flooring, new vanity and a larger 47" led tv. We are happy to hear you found the staff pleasant. We appreciate your business, and apologize if we just were not what you were looking for.

This stay was affordable and the staff were very welcoming and helpful! They recommended a great pub for dinner and it was excellent! It seems like updating was a work in progress. The important areas were clean (bed and bath) and the bed was very comfy but the room didn’t smell fresh and clean and it’s appearance seemed run down. We didn’t travel with pets but it was a very pet friendly place!

There's no smoking signs everywhere but it smells like everyone has been smoking. Even my room smelled like cigarettes. Be nice if they ran a vacuum through the hallways and got rid of all the spider webs in every corner. If it was cleaner and less smoke, the price would be fair. Seems like some of the "patrons" might live there... I would not stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are a non smoking property and do our very best to enforce no smoking in our hallways and near guest room doors; however since we are exterior corridor and open to the outside, on occasion guests will thinks its ok to smoke outside their guest room not realizing that the odor travels. Our apologies, but had you alerted the front desk, we would have been happy to ask any offenders to smoke far away from the sidewalk. We are happy to report that our hallways have been vacuumed thoroughly and cobb webbs outside removed! We are, as many businesses in the State and country, short staffed, so we are doing the very best we can. On a sold out busy weekend it is difficult to get to the outside hallway in addition to guest rooms, etc. We have implemented a new hallway cleaning plan to be certain that your experience is better next time.
