Tour the imposing Black Church, which claims to be the largest Gothic church in Transylvania. Inside the 13th-century Saint Bartholomew Church, study fragments of 800-year-old frescoes. Explore Brasov's medieval defensive fortifications. See original bastions, the 15th-century Black Tower and White Tower. Catherine's Gate is the only gate to survive from the 1400s. Pick up additional historical insights at the Brasov History Museum. Stroll along Rope Street, one of Europe’s narrowest streets. At night, enjoy an entertaining performance at Opera Brasov or watch a show at the Sică Alexandrescu Theatre, the city's main theatre. While Brasov is filled with attractions, it offers several must-see destinations within easy reach outside the city as well. Observe rescued European brown bears at Libearty Bear Sanctuary.
