Our room wasn’t cleaned on our 2nd day. Breakfast was good and the man stocking the breakfast was very friendly. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the square. The room was very spacious with a large bed. We loved the historical feel of the place but had all modern amenities. There were a couple steep flights of steps which didn’t bother us but if you have knee problems/heavy suitcase be mindful of. I wouldn’t say that’s a deal breaker as it was easy for me but flagging for others who may. The breakfast was OK and stuff were friendly enough, yet the property only really deserves a three star due to these concerns. Lacked a bar on site, but plenty of options nearby. Only negative was that the room was so hot, and there didn't seem to be any way of controlling it. My room looked out on to an inner courtyard so not a lot of natural light coming in. The front facing options perhaps better in this regard. The hotel was clean and our room was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was good and varied but the hot food was only lukewarm and limited, an English breakfast tea would have been nice along with decaf options. The Wi-Fi did not work in the room which was disappointing, apparently a router was down and awaiting repair. Very helpful staff allowed early arrival and an early weekend breakfast before our tour. Room 3 was a little noisy, less from the street than from the window to the courtyard with other rooms close by. The only real "issue" we had was that the water would go from freezing cold to scolding hot while you're in the shower and it got my back pretty good! Parking is about a 10 minute walk away in a place called the Prinz Gregor hotel and if you get the mountain view room (which faces the front of the hotel with a balcony) there can be a bit of noise since we were directly in front of the main town square but nothing too crazy if you keep the door closed. I recommend getting the breakfast as it's quite good and if you go down around 7:30 you'll be one of the, if not THE first people there.
