"Very clean comfortable hotel with great 'This works' toiletries. Staff were very helpful, plenty of tea, coffee, water, mugs and glasses in the room. Great shower, spotless bathroom. Didn't use bar or restaurant but these looked fine. Great location very close to railway station."

"Lovely clean refurbished hotel. Lovely reception from staff. Managed to get a parking space which was a bonus. Great location for city centre. Didn’t dine in the hotel but room amenities were spot on. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Well done to the team from reception to housekeeping."

Great Victoria Hotel

Great Victoria Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Disappointed this time. Booked an executive room as a treat, never upgraded before. Upon arrival the room was great, bedroom good & large bath & large walk in shower. Unfortunately the blind on the large bathroom window would not close and as we were on the top floor it was very exposed & i was concerned that when it got darker in the evening, using the facilities would be seen by the opposite buildings. I reported the blind to reception, the gentleman came & looked & it wasn't repairable so I was offered another room. The 2nd room was quite small & dark, the TV didn't work & the lamp under the TV didn't work. The bathroom sink plug didn't hold the water in & there wasn't a fitted shower, just a hand held shower. My upgraded treat wasn't to be 😞"
