Near Perfect airport hotel

Posted 04-May-2016
Everything was great, shuttle was quick and efficient, staff was all super friendly and helpful. Price was high but so we're other hotels in the area that I know are similar properties if not worse. My only small recommendations are to pay a little more attention to the cleanliness and details in the bathroom (shower head, some cracks and hairs) and the sundries shop. Yes they have a restaurant which is very good, but when you don't have a car and have kids they had virtually no snack selections. However, I will always stay here when I make the trip and maybe stock up on sodas and snacks at the airport.

Beautiful view of Boston skyline.

Posted 23-Apr-2016
Pros: View of Boston. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Running path right outside.
Cons: Fridge and microwave in room. They did deliver a fridge when we asked for a place to keep leftovers. Never asked about microwave.
Location: Convenient to airport and T. No convenience shopping or other restaurants nearby, so kind of a prisoner to hotel prices. ($3 for a bottle of water.)

Didn't realize that was possible. Never asked about microwave. Provided a wine opener when we asked. Convenient to airport and T. Nice hotel

Posted 19-Apr-2016
The overall stay at the hotel was nice but when I got there the staff was very dry at the reception desk. They couldn't find my reservation and made it seem like it was my fault. They weren't welcoming at all, and after two eight hour flights back to back coming from the Middle East that's not something you'd like to receive. Would not recommend.

The hotel is convenient to Logan airport for overnight stays. The restaurant has a lovely view of the water.

Not worth it for the price of the parking

Posted 18-Apr-2016
Pros: clean room
Cons: I will never stay there again, Nothing special about this Airport Hotel. The parking is $42/night more expensive then the airport next door.
Location: Location is hidden, Hard to find

Is this REALLY a Hyatt Regency?

Posted 15-Apr-2016
Pros: View of Boston. Water Taxi across the harbor (but $20 R/T is steep).
Cons: Eliminate parking fee. Welcome your guests warmly. Allow a room change w/o an up fee. Improve quality and presentation of the food..
Did I miss something? I paid $41 to self park 50 ft. from the front door. My room faced the Logan runway, with movement to a different location only at a cost. Staff was neutral, disconnected and offered inaccurate information and guidance. A basic breakfast (two runny eggs, bland toast, GREEN hash browns was $25 with tax and tip. A beer at the bar was $7.50 for a standard/small draft. My request for peanuts or pretzels led to a response to check the appetizer menu. Result: One beer and the decision to go elsewhere.I plan to turn in my Gold Passport card (had for 25 years and stay at a Comfort Inn where you actually feel welcome!

Hotel Experience at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor

Posted 13-Apr-2016
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Food in the Harborside Grill & Patio was terrible. The pork chop entree had to be refunded as it was over cooked and not edible.
Cons: Service, Capabilites of Front Desk Attendants. For example, when I checked out they only gave me the Expedia charges and not the incidental charges.
Location: Not relevant. I am from Boston so very familiar with the area.
We arrived on 4/11/2016 approx. 4:15pm. The Hotel charged us $42.00 for parking overnight which was a mistake. My husband returned our rental car to 100 Tomahawk Dr. right after we checked in. This expense has been credited to my Visa credit card. The shuttle that was to pick my husband up from the Rental Car drop off (per Hotel Mgmt.) did not show up until I went to Front Desk to question. Shuttle then finally showed up. The incidental charges (e.g. Room Service) charged a delivery charge of $10.00 (are you kidding) as well as a 15% gratuity. We gave the room service attendant a cash tip of $20.00 not realizing the 15% gratuity was included. The Room we were in (#312) had a pipe smoke odor. We called the Mgr. on duty around 8:30pm. He came to our room and confirmed that there was an odor. He asked if we wanted to be moved to another room. We said no as we were checking out early the next morning. Interesting since Expedia said there were only three (3) Kings available on the evening of 4/11/2016. Also I was not given the Senior Discount (e.g. AAA and/or AARP).
