Location and staff quite a challenge.
Ended up in a room on the 5th floor that faced a major traffic intersection and hospital. Sirens all day and into the evening. It was maddening! The Medical helicopters were quieter. It was a stressful trip for me and I wanted to have a beer or two in my room. As it turns out the hotel does not have a lounge as part of the facility, and therefor no liquor license. When I inquired at the front desk, the hotel rep told me I would have to walk 4 blocks to a 7-11 if I wanted a beer to have in my room.
The hotel does provide airport shuttles. What I didn't know until it was too late was that the hotel also provides a shuttle to local hospitals. There were two shuttles parked in front. The morning I was due to fly out of Logan, I got on the wrong shuttle. Mind you I had not slept the night before due to all the noise outside the hotel. When I realized my mistake, the driver said he clearly announced it, and I told him I did not hear him and he disputed the issue. I was pretty stressed out!! I was worried I'd miss my flight. He did not communicate what he would do in regards to my predicament, and when he was done delivering people to the various hospitals on the west side, without a word drove me back to the hotel, pulled my bag out of the back, and walked away. Is was still inside the van and had to get myself out. Then I had to get myself to Logan. The driver did not speak to me or offer to drive me to Logan which is only 10 minutes away. Oh...the room was nice.
