The best area to stay in Borganzo is the historic centre, particularly around the Piazza del Duomo and the Lungomare. The historic centre is the heart of Borganzo, characterised by its narrow, winding cobblestone streets, mediaeval architecture, and bustling piazzas. The Piazza del Duomo, with its impressive cathedral, is a central landmark, and many of the town's best restaurants and boutiques can be found along Via Roma and the parallel streets leading down to the sea. The Lungomare, or seafront promenade, offers stunning views of the Ligurian Sea and is great for a leisurely stroll.Couples will find the historic centre particularly appealing. The romantic setting, with its charming alleyways and intimate trattorias, creates a lovely atmosphere for an Italian getaway. You're within easy walking distance of cultural sights, exquisite dining, and the picturesque harbour. For those who enjoy being close to the water and having easy access to outdoor activities, the area immediately surrounding the Lungomare is ideal. It provides direct access to the beaches and is a convenient starting point for boat trips or coastal walks along the cliffs.

The best time to visit Borganzo is generally during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.During these shoulder seasons, you'll find comfortable temperatures superb for exploring the coastal paths and charming villages without the intense heat or the large numbers of tourists that flock to the Ligurian coast in mid-summer. This allows for a more relaxed and authentic experience, whether you're enjoying a stroll along the promenade or dining al fresco. For couples looking for a romantic getaway, these times offer a peaceful ambiance. You can enjoy quiet evenings, explore the local shops and art galleries, and take advantage of the scenic beauty without feeling rushed. The sea is still warm enough for a dip in early autumn, and the spring brings blooming flowers to the hillsides.Families travelling with children might also find these periods ideal. The milder weather makes outdoor activities more enjoyable, and there's more space on the beaches and in the towns.
