"What a lovely place! 10 minute walk to the main centre and the area is just absolutely gorgeous. We were blown away at how nice the room was and how big the bed was. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that’s within walking distance to everything and within a nice quiet setting, I highly recommend Hedley House! We will definitely be back!"

"Everywhere was clean and tidy. The improvements made by the new owners work much better like the new reception area they have created with a lovely mural of York. The rooms are all being renovated to a good standard with coffee pod machines as well as the usual kettle.We will definitely be back. "

"Everything about this hotel was truly wonderful. On arrival we received a warm welcome followed by a free room upgrade. The room was roomy, well equipped and clean. The hotel facilities also did not disappoint - the spa was a good way to start the day, whilst the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. "Fantastic stay for a long weekend. Very welcoming staff on arrival and shown to our room. We made a specific room request which was available for us, so that was great. Good beer garden out front which was a nice surprise. Hotel is located within a short walk to the centre of everything. Also plenty of parking at the hotel. Had breakfast a couple of times and the food was very nice. Would recommend this hotel. "
