We had never been to Cheboygan and there isn't a ton to do in the immediate area compared to other lake towns like Petoskey and Charlevoix, but we used it as our base for a couple day trips to Mackinac Island and Petoskey and it worked well. The house is so thoughtfully decorated and if you love quirky charm, this is your place! Terry and Laurie are exceedingly nice and hospitable.
