Cloister at The Boca Raton

10/10 Excellent
"In my opinion this is the best of the best. Selection, design, food and beverage, but especially service. The Boca goes above and beyond to ensure your guest experience is nothing less than wonderful. From the moment you arrive they make you feel like you’ve been transformed to some magical place. Whether it’s Tulio our Valet or Colleen and her staff at the Discovery Center working together to guarantee your experience is all you wish it to be."

"The Hotel says it’s pet friendly and I was charged for my dog but I couldn’t find a pet station on the property. You’re either pet friendly or you’re not. Decide and act accordingly."

Pocket Guide: Florida Boca Raton Hotels

Where to Stay in Boca Raton

An upscale area known for its luxurious lifestyle, Boca Roca is one of the swankiest parts of Palm Beach County. Not only is this South Florida city a centre for business but it’s also one of the wealthiest cities in South Florida. Large oceanfront hotels with exclusive amenities, lavish swimming pools and direct beach access are popular along Boca Raton’s stretch of the coast. If you’re looking for budget accommodation, it may help to look for a place to stay a bit further inland. The further from the Boca Raton seafront you go, the more hotel prices tend to drop.

Shopping in Boca Raton

Take one look down Plaza Real, the main street through Boca Raton’s popular shopping village Mizner Park, and you’ll quickly get a sense of just how much wealth the city’s residents enjoy. Most shops are either labelled as boutique or speciality, and you’re very likely to find yourself walking past a Prada-toting mum and her designer-clad baby as you wander along.

For indoor shopping, head to the Town Centre at Boca Raton. This upmarket mall is the largest enclosed shopping mall in Palm Beach County and the second-largest in all of South Florida. Here, you’ll find popular department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Beach Days in Boca Raton

Boca Raton’s stunning beaches draw thousands of people to the city every year. With two miles of shore and three gorgeous nature parks, Boca Raton has everything from butterfly gardens to boardwalk trails to superb sunset-watching spots.

For a back-to-nature activity, visit the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center at Red Reef Park. This environmental education centre has an observation deck for birdwatching as well as a museum that houses fish and turtles. It also serves as a working research facility.

Exploring Boca Raton’s Art Scene

Art lovers should make sure to schedule some time to see the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Located right in the centre of Mizner Park, the art museum offers a wonderful collection of paintings and drawings from around the world, as well as an enchanting sculpture garden.
