The Bear Hotel

Cowbridge

10/10 Excellent

We stayed two nights at the Bear in September and enjoyed it immensely. This is a ancient Coaching Inn and so layout is a little quirky. But the room was a good size and extremely comfortable. Large four poster bed, comfortable armchair, sufficient hanging space, a well appointed en suite and tea making facilities, made for a great stay. Breakfast was individually made and well cooked. We also are in the bar late on Sunday and the roast (topside of beef and all trimmings) was outstanding....

Days Inn by Wyndham Bridgend Cardiff M4

Bridgend

10/10 Excellent

3 Adults one child and a dog, three nights, very tight budget. I did not fancy camping as I didn't want to get wet and cold, my knees demand a high bed and my bladder wants a loo...well, when it wants a loo! I was lucky enough to get a double smoking room with sofa bed for approx the same price as a tent with electric hook-up . The receptionist made us feel very welcome. The room was basic, clean and, because it is a smoking room there was a very feint smell of cigarettes - although I am...

The Great House Hotel & Restaurant

Bridgend

10/10 Excellent

The Hotel is a 15 century house which has been sympathetically restored retaining many of the original features. The bedrooms in the main house were charming, very clean with a very fresh en suite and lovely white bed linen and towels. There is an award winning restaurant which produced mouth-watering meals with a menu to suit most palates. What made the stay memorable were the very friendly, helpful and thoughtful staff. I would recommend this hotel to most people especially those with an...

Sandria

High Corner Hotel

Llanharan

10/10 Excellent

I booked this hotel at very short notice, due to visiting the area as a surprise to see my daughter. On arrival the whole building was spotless, and after a short wait, I was greeted by the proprietor. The gentleman was extremely professional, happy, polite and gave the warmest of welcomes to his establishment. He promptly booked me in and escorted me to my room. The room itself was immaculately kept and clean, it was also more spacious than what I expected and was tastefully decorated. I was...

Holiday Inn Express Swansea - East by IHG

Neath

10/10 Excellent

there were 4 of us in the party that stayed at the hotel; my wife and I and our son and daughter, all were very impressed by the cleanliness and comfort that the rooms offered. The rooms were adjoining with a connecting door, which made it easy for us to spend more of the time together. Beds were very comfortable. Another good feature of the hotel, was the close proximity of a very good restaurant All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay there again.

John-Haydn

A spacious restaurant with high ceilings and natural light. Tables are arranged in clusters, some with red upholstered chairs.
