Spent 2 nights at the Gran Hotel Puente ...arrived by car via the ferry... not so grand these days and looks that it suffers from Spanish austerity..lack of staff and lack of upkeep, its a shame as it has good potential...

This was a perfectly located abode in-between Bilbao and the Bay of Biscay. I enjoyed being in the mountain setting a lot. It was so relaxing and the family run business was just wonderful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable and I slept in every day. It might be helpful to speak some Spanish but I think most guests manage without it. GPS will help you find the place quite easily. The last bit of road is up a hill to the hotel. Great views!

Good hotel for family. Rooms are very small though.

It is a small boutique hotel in Getxo's beach, with amazing ocean view rooms with large balconies supplied with a table and two chairs. Room was spacious and a nice large bathroom too. Rooms are fitted to fit up to 6 people, which is ideal if traveling with children (two sets of bunk beds at either side of a large bed). If you do not want to walk far, they serve breakfast, but the restaurant next door is available any other time. It is close to the marina, where you can find a host of restaurants to satisfy pretty much any palate. Great prices and really customer-driven staff. Awesome find!

The street address was not in our GPS and hence rather difficult to find. We had to use a similar sounding street name to get close to the hotel. Possibly due to language issues as the Basque country seems to use a different language from Spanish. The hotel was in a very impressive and massive building. That was how we found the hotel because it was the largest structure around the neighborhood.

We enjoyed 2 lovely nights at this hotel prior to getting the ferry from Bilbao back to the UK. I booked this hotel from what I read on Trip Advisor and could not have been more delighted. Apart from the difficulty of not being able to enter the address into the SatNav so needing to call the hotel for directions - which were easy to follow- everything about the hotel was charming. We will definitely be back. Lovely views, staff & food.

The Holiday Inn Hotel offers very spacious rooms, quiet and very clean.
