Super-adorable boutique hotel. Staff were really helpful. The restaurant recommendations were really helpful (Thanks, Eric!!). Rooms are small, but nice and comfortable. Sauna is a cool amenity. Bar/coffee area are really nice as well. Right next to metro station and in a very interesting Berlin neighborhood. Highly recommend!

This is terrific hotel. Staff super friendly and helpful. It's got such personality and vibe. It's also perfectly located from all the art and clubs! Definitely my go to hotel from now on.

Lovely hotel, lots of nearby bars and restaurants. Really nice Xmas market nearby. Rooms beautiful with high ceilings and comfy beds. Hotel lobby and bar were great.

Can’t miss hotel
Excellent stay at a hotel that is close to many things. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming for 25€ but the atmosphere at the hotel made up for it. It’s a 2 minute walk from the last section of the Wall. The front desk staff made everyone feel good.

The hotel had scaffolding up, and we were woken VERY early at about 7.15 am to builders using a loud drill and banging. not relaxing or acceptable for what is normally a nice hotel

Unique venue. Unique rooms , amazing staff , great location. Could have used an air conditioner. The room we chose (we needed beds for 3 we got 6 ) was interesting. Totally met our needs but the room is for a very specific need .all in all good place

The property is very unique and inviting. It is in what is supposedly a “hip” area of Berlin. As with most cities around the world hip seems to mean neglected, graffiti and stickers in every surface, lots of homeless people and open drug dealing! The room was small with very little storage but sufficient for a couple of nights. The bed could only be accessed from the end rather than the side so only for people with reasonable agility!! There was a window through to the shower and toilet that could be viewed from the bed which was a bit strange! I assumed it was a 2-way mirror which could be activated by a light (as in a previous hotel) but apparently not! Fortunately a hot shower afforded the privacy required!! The hotel claims to be eco-friendly which is admirable, which made it all the more confusing that there were televisions playing silently to themselves at the end of each corridor! Bizarre! Staff were really friendly and helpful. Once in the hotel it felt safe and was quiet.

The hotel gets very high marks for location, decor, crowd, and a lovely courtyard. However, the wifi is terrible, our room lacked AC and the design of the room (while lovely) was impractical. Still, I would recommend Michelberger overall.

The managers at the hotel were super un-accommodating. Due to fight delays and cancellations out of our control we couldn’t make it to Berlin and when we called to move the date of the reservation they refused to do anything about it making us lose our money and still have no accommodation for when we could finally make. Hotels with this lack of flexibility and caring for their customers are only focused on extracting the max amount of money for a short term gain. A shame.

Bedbugs but ok service
Bedbugs. Stayed two nights in a room with bedbugs, my partner got numerous bites with swollen marks. This completely ruined our trip. The staff took us seriously, though, and immediately swapped our room with an upgrade and redeemed some charges. They could not really have done more. Still, the creditable and laid-back image the hotel wants to promote took a blow. This was my third or fourth stay at Michelberger, will probably look for other, less pricey options in the future.
