This is a clean, functional hotel that if your for a base in the city then this is worth looking at. The rooms are clean, although maybe small by American standards, are very usable. They don't provide a safe in the room though.
The staff were friendly and always shouted 'Hallo' when you walked in. There is a bar but I never used it.
Breakfast is included in the rate and I would call it Continental plus - cereal, yougarts, fruit, juice, toast but also make your own waffles and a small section of hot food (bacon, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs) and coffee. It's all self serve, so I'll let you decide if it's unlimited or not. (It's gets cleared away at 10am sharp, but 9:30am was very quiet).
In regards to the location it's close to one of the main shopping districts (Starbucks is a 4 mins walk) and very close to public transit - you can be at the Brandenburg Gate in 15 mins door to door via the S-bahn and SXF airport in 45. One thing to say is public transit is so close the train tracks run elevated (think Chicago L loop tracks) 10 metres from the hotel - I was on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) and I was eye level with the passengers. Double galazed windows do a very good job to keep out most of the noise.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel and stay here again.
