The hotel is a quiet and comfortable hotel.

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: The quietness , the swimming pool areas, excellent breakfasts. The set evening menu good value.
Cons: The showers in the junior suite and the bar areas. offer coffee or tea in the pool bar.
Location: Situated just outside the village. You need a car to get about as the local bus leaves at 7 in the morning and returns at 7 at night.
The hotel needs a bit of money to update some areas. Eg showers in the junior suite. We thought the reception or the bar could of been in the colossal hall at the entrance of the hotel, which was empty most of the time. The existing bar is in a room close to the reception, again a bit more could of been made of it to encourage people to gather there before dinner. The food is lovely in the hotel, but you aren't far from centre of the village which has the most amazing street of restaurants.

Lovely quiet relaxing hotel

Posted 05-Jul-2016
This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings very close to the centre of a picturesque town. It was lovely to relax by the pool and the staff at this hotel are lovely. The rooms and interior generally are a little dark and need updating but are very clean and have everything you need.

Behavis by Chance

Posted 31-May-2016
Pros: Our room had a roof terrace which was great to chill out afer a long day on the road. Food was also very good indeed.
Cons: Or room although very clean and spacious could benefit from thebathroom being refurbished.
Location: Just outside the beautiful village of enahavis and only 15 mins drive from the coast.
Wanting to check out Spain for a possible holday home we randomly chose Benhavis village and the Gran Hotel Benhavis. The hotel is in a lovely location within easy walking distance to the village and its many excellent restaurants. he facilities wre very good and the taff were friendly and accomodating. Although a little tired in areas the hotel is very clean and comfortable. meals were excellent an compared very favourably to those in the village.

Great hotel and pool

Posted 30-May-2016
Pros: Good facilities
Cons: Nothing
Location: Mountain resort, walk into town of Benahavis.
Lovely big room, lots of seating round the two pools, in the lounge area and outside. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Walk into the pretty mountain town of Benahavis but could be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Arrived at nearly 10:00 at night but both restaurants (buffet and a la carte) and bar still open and good food. Not a cheap hotel but certainly worth the money if you want a relaxing break away from the crowds. Not the place to go if you want easy access to a beach nut that's the only downside.

Good Hotel with very nice facilities

Posted 15-May-2016
Pros: Pool areas, comfortable beds and spacious rooms
Cons: Bathrooms, breakfast and half board buffet supper
Location: Many restaurants and convenient to Marbella and many other popular tourist spots. Many walks and trails in area
Enjoyed a 2 day stay at Gran Hotel. The Hotel is on a lovely property on the outskirts of Benahavis, a short walk from the village where you can enjoy excellent restaurants. The Hotel has lovely pools and very nice areas around the pool. Due to inclement weather not able to enjoy these facilities but they were more than adequate. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, especially on the 2nd floor where they are newly renovated. Bathrooms need to have work done on tile, quite a bit of mildew. Breakfast included and was average. Do not recommend the "half board". The food was only average, served buffet style and in the breakfast room. Expected to be in the restaurant with a fixed menu. Both breakfast and buffet food not hot. Large foyer, little dark, could use a makeover. Recommend this property.

Another Wonderful Benahavis Experience

Posted 13-May-2016
Pros: The courtyard and 'Tyrolean feel' to parts of the interior The rooms are extremely spacious and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in.
Cons: On our previous stay table d'hote evening menu was changed daily, this stay it was a set buffet daily which we did not choose to eat as prefer variety
Location: Idyllic peaceful location. The village has a variety of bars & restaurants offering good selection of menus Recommend car hire to explore the area
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel within the last 6 months and were not disappointed with our experience. The reception staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful, as are the bar and waiting on staff. The breakfasts are very tasty, try the mini blackpuddings and little spicy sausages ....delicious.
