Great room with ensuite bathroom and a terrace to enjoy sunset skies. Very friendly and helpful staff. A short walk into town to enjoy the bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully remodeled country mansion updated with all the modern amenities. Extremely clean and comfortable, with very professional and personable service. Excellent location in Begur, which is in the middle of the Costa Brava, makes the hotel a great choice for exploring the area. Have stayed here several times over the years and the hotel has always maintained its very high standards. Highly recommend and will return again.

Owner cheat on us
False advertising. Half of pictures are from a different place (pool, sea, sofa in a room...). We chose a room for 3 and the owner asked 35 euros to add a crib because there is no sofa in the room. The owner found a lot of lying excuse and explanations. The room was dirty too. They tried to out an old look but this is cheaply made. I dont recommend this place.

Our stay has been amazing! The hotel felt like a Villa in a quaint setting. The sights and sounds of nature were so authentic. The view of the mountain range looking down at sea cozy close to the cove was breathtaking. The Villa feel went beyond our expectations. The room was spacious, clean, modern! Exceptional. The picture online for our booking needs to be updated. Images does not do match the beauty of this property. 4 night stay close to centre of Begur
We were warmly greeted on our arrival and given all the information required to quickly settle in for our 4 night stay. Miguel, the property owner was very helpful with guidance and recommendations to ensure we made the most of our stay in Begur. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfasts were excellent and dinners were tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay.

This is a beautiful property with large rooms and great amenities. The restaurant and breakfast were also excellent. Easy parking around the hotel, very accessible and easy to drive to other great places around Begur, such as beaches and medieval villages. Staff was very helpful and provided great tips for visits in the area.

Galena was amazing. The room was nicely appointed with lovely stonework—4 variants in the bathroom. Everything was spotless. Our room had a private patio bigger than the room with table and chairs. The grounds were nicely landscaped with citrus trees and bougainvillea. Breakfast (11euros pp) was quite a spread. Eggs bacon sausage cold cuts fresh cheese 5 kinds of breads including Pain au chocolate 3 kinds of cake fruit juice coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is on multiple levels connected by stone steps. It may have accessible rooms, but definitely check if steps are an issue for you.

Had a charming stay here for a few days in the Costa Brava. The hotel is located only a few minutes' walk outside of the center of Begur; my companion and I did not mind this at all. It is just down the hill from both the bus stop and a Spar. We caught the last of summer when €1 shuttle buses run to all the nearby beaches; otherwise we would really have needed a car to fully enjoy the area. Breakfast at the hotel was just OK but the terrace of the restaurant area has lovely views. We did not eat any other meals there. Our room was quite large and also had a terrace area (not a private one though). The entire hotel has a rustic charm that I really loved. Service was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay.

What a great spot with the most friendly of staff. Great breakfast with far to much selection but thank you Our hosts made sure we knew the best spots to visit on the coast and there are a few quaint resteraunts in town for a bite very nice thanks you

The hotel is a beautiful and charming "masia" converted into a delightful boutique hotel and restaurant. The rooms are all ample with very comfortable beds and awesome bathrooms. Some larger rooms have their own terraces overlooking the hills of Begur. The decor is beautiful and unique keeping with the Catalan style. The restaurant serves delicious food with very attentive and friendly service. Your full morning breakfast is always fantastic.Look for Miguel to make your stay a highlight in your travel. How do I know? We've stayed there 6 times in the past 4 years!!! Love it!!

The rooms were comfortable and the building itself A beautiful renovated building. No ocean views, but you can easily get to several beaches within a short drive. We only stayed for one night, so did not try the restaurant.

Hotel was beautiful. The owners were so kind and very helpful. Our only complaint would be the mattress. It seems to be needing replacement. Both of us like firm mattresses, but we woke up with aching hips. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful. Very charmingZ

Wonderful hotel and great restaurant
Galena Mas Comangau was a gem. The accommodations were first class, the restaurant was very good, and the family who run it are wonderful. We did't want to leave.

A charming get a way close to Barcelona
What an absolutely charming inn. The owners were lovely. Most gracious and our dinner at the restaurant was fabulous. Truly wonderful. Breakfast was a bountiful display of breads, cakes, fruit, cheese & meats. More than enough! The inn keepers were most helpful in suggesting a trip to a medieval walled city as well as a tapas bar in the city center. No complaints. It was a lovely stay and so close to Barcelona.

The owners make a huge effort to make sure your stay is as good as it can be at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the food is excellent. It's location is close to the centre of Begur, a lovely traditional Spanish village. we couldn't fault it and would love to stay again!

First class family run hotel. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast buffet, fine restaurant. Short walk into Begur and easy access to a number of very good small beaches in pretty coves.

Central but not in centre of touristy village
Charm, character, cleanliness. There are so many communal rooms on two floors for such a small hotel that other owners would have destroyed them to create more bedrooms. Each of these has its own character and as for comfort, this must be experienced to be believed. The bedroom itself was 100% satisfactory for cleanliness, size and comfort. Breakfast was such that the larger group hotel chains should copy - if only! There were 4 differing types of coffee to choose from. The owner was very helpful and was rightly proud of his creation and is obvioulsy enjoying his life's work. We talked to a staff member who was glowing with the praise that she had for the owner and his family. That feeling of love and care never left us. This place is full of LOVE and we are but sorry that we cannot give it more than just a 5

This hotel is impeccable ! Miguel was very helpful and welcoming. He gave us excellent ideas for dinner and directions to beaches. Begur is quiet but this location is central to all beaches. I recommend the castle close to sunset

Beautiful and unique small hotel. Our room opened onto a small courtyard with a great view of the valley and mountains. It's a nice 10-minute walk to the center of the old town. Since you need a car to explore this region, the on-site parking was important and convenient. Thanks especially to Atilio and Margarita for the outstanding service.

Beautiful location, super friendly staff, really nice and comfortable building (lots of stone and dark rafters), fantastic public spaces (terraces, sitting rooms, etc.). On-site restaurant was very good to excellent. 10 minute walk to downtown Begur.

Charming hotel in Costa Brava
We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel in Begur. I was traveling with my parents (in their 70's) and we all loved it. It's a family run hotel with a restaurant. We didn't get to experience the restaurant as we were out and about most evenings, but we do like their breakfast. The family is welcoming and so helfpful. We really enjoyed our stay as a base to explore the nearby area and it was perfect. We were able to explore Pals, Parafrugell and nearby beaches such as Aiguablaca and Calella. We stayed 2 nights, but could've easily stayed more. The place does have stairs to get to room, however, my parents whom are older managed just fine. I would glady retrun to this place when in the area again. I highly recommend for couples, families or friends alike travelling.

Lovely hotel with restaurant
We stayed in a newish room which was very well designed with a nice balcony with a good view over the surrounding wooded hills. Perfect for sunset-watching although it was too cold to do this when we were there. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and is full of character. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food and service were excellent. Breakfasts were good and generous too, with lots of meats, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, cakes etc.

Lovely restored farmhouse.
The hotel is located a short walk from the town of Begur where there are lovely streets to wander and many good restaurants. Gas station and grocery also nearby. Parking is available and easy which is one reason we chose this hotel. Miguel, the owner is eager to please, very helpful, and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and relaxed. Our room was in the new addition - simply furnished, with a stone wall to add atmosphere - very well-done to blend with the older parts of the building. Beautiful and spacious bathroom with great stone shower. Bed is extremely comfortable! We had a large terrace with a view of the mountains in the distance, but down below is a more utilitarian area (parking lot/construction). Be aware the area is a bit busy, so it is not exactly a tranquil countryside setting (but this is the trade-off for convenience). We ate at the hotel restaurant 3 nights because we weren't ready to set off again at night for a meal and appreciated being able to just go up to our room after dinner. The prices aren't bad, service is excellent, and the beef and vegetables are superb. Breakfast offers many choices and lots of fresh fruit - hours are good for late sleepers (9-11). All in all a wonderful stay.

My family and I loved our stay at this hotel. We were coming from Barcelona and it was easy to park and walk to the center of small town of Begur. The hotel is a converted old farm house. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. They spoke English and gave us great recommendations for beaches and a place to have lunch. The room was extremely comfortable for our family of four. I never quite know what to expect but, it had a king size bed and fold out bunk beds for the kids. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was the best meal we had in Spain. There was a breakfast buffet that had fresh fruit and bread, great coffee, jamon Iberico, cheese and more. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to spend some time at the Costa Brava. It is conveniently located and a completely lovely place to stay.

A Little Gem
We came here for a wedding and enjoyed the hotel so much we stayed an extra day! The owner was very friendly and helpful, he sent us on some beautiful rides told us history about town. The breakfast each morning was very nice and the terrace in back is wonderful! The salon in basement was a great place to sit and talk with glass of wine,looking out to mountains.we will diffently return here on our next trip to Costa Brava

What a great find. Charming boutique hotel from which to explore this beautiful region. Great breakfast too! Miguel, the owner, is also super friendly and was really helpful in suggesting places to go, including some gems off the beaten track. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with lots of character
This hotel is an excellent choice. It seems a bit out of town but in fact there's a short cut into town and it does not take more than 10 min to walk from the hotel to the main square. There's a small grocery store (Spar) 5 min from the hotel. The hotel itself is a gem. It's a converted farm house and has tons of character. The room are big, clean and very cozy. The service was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing or intrusive. We came here shortly before Christmas and had the place practically to ourselves. The rate was a little over E100, which was slightly above our budget but we enjoyed our stay tremendously. We highly recommend this hotel.
