"This is a beautiful property. We were there on a very hot week, and even with the drought and low water levels the dock had plenty of deep water. You could walk in if you wanted to, but climbed up and down the dock instead. The water was fabulous!The view was great as well, who doesn’t love the SML view! There is a slope to get to the dock but that is obvious in the pictures, very manageable with good balance. The downstairs stayed nice and cool when the heat of the day blasted the top floor with the fabulous windows- but the curtains help tremendously to keep the heat down. Communication with the host was easy, but we’ve been to SML many years so some of the things people don’t like don’t bother us at all. The beds were great, plenty of room, two refrigerators if needed, extra floats available… We had everything we needed! We even donated a puzzle we finished because there were puzzles available to use as well. And the BOOKS, if you need more to read they probably have it! Thank you for an amazing week."
Cool Breeze Cottage - Firepit / Easy access to dock / Water Toys

"I recently stayed at Cool Breeze with a few close friends, and we had a wonderful experience. The property was extremely clean and well cared for, which made settling in easy. The location of the home was fantastic! peaceful, quiet, and perfectly situated for enjoying the beauty of the area. The morning and evening views were truly a delight. Whether we were relaxing on the deck, grilling out and chatting, the scenery really helped if you’re looking for an escape. The neighborhood itself is calm and welcoming, and we appreciated how convenient everything was. There’s a grocery store about 10 minutes away, along with a few nearby restaurants where we received great service too. Granted during our four day stay we only found ourselves leaving the property twice because for our purposes, we didn’t need to. Overall, Cool Breeze was the perfect place for our getaway. We were able to reconnect, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. I’d absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay in Moneta."

"Hickory Cottage is a true gem at SML. Gary and Kimberly are the most hospitable hosts I have ever seen! The house was spotless and exactly as listed. Fantastic location and a USABLE DOCK! We brought our boat and we were so happy to not have to trailer it everyday. The house was stocked with everything you could need - tons of games and even coloring supplies for the kids. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. We cannot wait to visit again!!"

"This house exceeded every expectation for a two-family getaway. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the owner had labeled cabinets, drawers, and closets so thoroughly that we found what we needed within minutes of walking in. Space was never an issue: eight of us across two families spread out comfortably with room left over.The setting outside made the trip. Two docks gave us plenty of water access, and the wraparound deck offered enough seating that anyone could grab a coffee and watch the lake without competing for a spot. The owner let us use the kayaks and paddle boards, which the kids especially loved. The grill ran hot and cooked evenly, and we put it to good use with several big family meals followed by games on the deck.The owner communicated everything we needed through VRBO's messaging before check-in, and we arrived fully informed with no questions left hanging. That upfront prep meant we never had to reach out once we were there and could just enjoy the stay. The house felt like staying in someone's well-loved home rather than a generic rental, and that difference showed in every detail. We'd book again without hesitation."

"We had a fabulous stay at this property. Everything went super smooth from the check in to the check out. The home was everything we needed. It was in a great location and convenient to shops and restaurants. If there was anything negative at all, it would have been the fact there wasn’t any ceiling fans in the bedrooms. That’s just a personal preference for me, but that is the only thing I was missing. We loved Alford’s and hope to stay there again."
