"I’ve added that naturally into the review:We had an amazing stay at Kimberly’s lake house! From the moment we booked, Kimberly was incredibly responsive and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Her communication was excellent before, during, and after our stay.The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and had everything we could have needed. The kitchen was one of the best-equipped vacation rental kitchens we’ve ever used, stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and even a great selection of spices for cooking. It truly felt like a home away from home. The beds were also incredibly comfortable, and everyone in our group slept great. Even though the lake level was about four feet below normal during our visit, the dock was still perfect for relaxing and enjoying the water. It was deep enough to swim without touching the lake bottom, which made spending time on the water just as enjoyable.Overall, this property exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway at Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Kimberly, for sharing your beautiful home with us!"

"Great property. Lots of fun. Amenities were great. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Not too toddler friendly so be prepared if you take small children. Only negative was the offside trash dump that was 10 to 15 min away. We made 3 trips. All in all a perfect week."

"We had a fantastic stay at SML and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Even with several days of rain, we still had an amazing time thanks to the thoughtful design and setup of the house.The property was spotless when we arrived, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The abundance of amenities made it feel like home (and then some), and we especially appreciated all the little details that showed how much care went into preparing the house for guests. From the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable furnishings and extra touches throughout, it was clear the hosts put real thought into making their guests comfortable.Jason and his team were outstanding, incredibly responsive, communicative, and helpful from booking all the way through our departure. Their quick replies and genuine care made the whole process seamless.We would absolutely recommend this property and would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Although the water level was five below the norm, everyone enjoyed swimming and kayaking. It was a treat to watch the deer and bunnies in the yard and to enjoy the expansive grass lawns and games provided. Unfortunately, the paddleboat was not available for us to use. The lake home was beautiful and the furnishings were in excellent shape. This was a marvelous property and we hope to stay again. The host real estate company servicing the property provided prompt service."

"The house provided just about everything you could need—linens, towels, paper products, kitchen soap and sponge, hand soaps, even small things like matches, grill lighter.Matt quickly replied to all our correspondence. The furniture is a little older, but we had children in our group so it was fine that it wasn’t elegant. The only problem we had was that the upstairs air-conditioning stopped working. Matt sent a repairman out quickly, but a part needed to be ordered. Some left early because it was just too uncomfortable to sleep up there. Another disappointment was how low the lake is. Of course, both of these are something no one could control."

"We loved our stay at this home at the lake! Even though the lake levels were down, we still had access to the water. The kids all enjoyed the private community pool directly across from the house. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and the layout of the kitchen worked well for our family. The game table was great to have as well as the foosball table and ping pong table. I loved that there was a mud room off the garage for easy access to laundry and our lake and pool gear.We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and drinking coffee in the morning and listening to the sounds of nature and looking at the calm lake."
