"This property was perfect for our large family gathering! Our son graduated from Liberty University, and this was the ideal place to celebrate such a special occasion. We rented a pontoon boat and wave runner, spent time fishing from the two docks, and enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets right on the property. The views were absolutely stunning, and the weather couldn’t have been better. One of our favorite parts was relaxing on the top-floor porch each morning with a cup of coffee while taking in the peaceful scenery. All the rooms were perfect & the 2 kitchens were clean & had everything we needed. Would definitely book this place again!!"

"This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake area. The house was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed hiking at the nearby state park and exploring the area surrounding Moneta. Plenty of room and fantastic memories playing pool & games. Thanks Anne for a great stay!"

"Great spot. Exactly as advertised. Amazing lake view and dock. Heated pool and hot tub were amazing. Great house for a group trip, lots of room for people to spread out and not feel crowded. Would absolutely rent again."

"My family (and 2 dogs) loved staying at this house! Definitely cozy and in a great location. The house was clean and worth what you pay. I like that the location is private, the wifi, grill, board games, screened in porch, dock, and kayaks. Only wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Terribly maintained, excuses from the host, will never book again. Frozen hot tub, no heat in the unit and they didn’t even have blinds for a glass door that sees everything. I’m pursuing a refund & can only hope the host cares enough to actually fix things. Do not stay here when it’s cold, they don’t care about the property. "

"This home had great spaces, kitchen was stocked and the VIEWS were wonderful. We found a plumbing issue in 1 bathroom upon arrival, called the emergency number (that our paperwork stated we would get a phonecall back in 15 mins) but didn't hear from anyone until the next day 11am. That was disappointing. The only other thing we thought needed attention was the lawncare (it was obviously they had not cleared it recently)- leaves needed to be blown-there were so many we could not see the driveway. We also had our 89-yr old mom with us which made it unsafe for her to walk. We would have done it ourselves if we had a blower! I actually used a broom to clear the decks and the front of the drive so it was safe to backup in the driveway. All that being said, we would still stay here again, as it was perfectly situated near Bridgewater Marina, La Casa Toscana (great dinner) and Ramulose Vineyards where we had a great experience sharing a charcuterie board and wine tasting. On the way out of town we found the first thing we will do next trip- Hawaii Fluid Art - a studio where you can make your own art! "

"This is 99.9% exactly how described. Your water view is slightly obstructed due to trees on the shore that the owner isn’t allowed to do anything about. Very charming and cute. Clean and comfortable. Very compact and efficient. I only have one suggestion, and that is to put a door covering on the only door in and out of the place. It’s a wonderful view and natural light. However, if the other side of the duplex is rented, and they are using the shared sitting area around the fireplace, they can see directly into the other unit. I mentioned this to the owner, and they were quick to reply with their reasoning, and that they would look into it. The bathroom has a barn style sliding door. Needs to be stopped at just the right place to block any view of the inside. We have no complaints. We would rent again!"

"A better host we have not found in our frequent VRBO stays. They were quick to respond to questions and the property was the perfect stay. The house was very clean, the layout ideal, and the views beautiful. We truly appreciated the ease this property offered for my mother-in law who has mobility issues. The gentle slope to the dock allowed her to use a walker to make her way safely. The main floor layout was perfect for our family with everything we needed on that level. We loved gazing at the many deer that frequented the property. A very small recommendation would be to allow some free cupboard space for renters to place their food items in off the countertop, but this is such a minimal concern. We would definitely return to the property and we thank the kind hosts for opening their home up to our family. "
