Cottage at the Lake - Waterfront lake-view home with dock, fireplace, pool table, kayaks, & firepit

"We enjoyed our stay here. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the layout of the house was perfect for two families with two small children. We did get quite a workout going up and down the hill to get to the dock but the steps down were well maintained. The host was very quick to respond when I had a question. We would absolutely come back here."

"What a great place to stay on Smith Mountain Lake. House was lovely and suited our needs. Screen porch facing Lake, nice large dock to enjoy sunshine or shade with floating dock to launch boat or swim from. Big yard and nice sandy beach were a bonus. Inside house is nicely updated with comfortable beds and furniture. Nice kitchen and full size refrigerator. Enjoyed using kayaks and grilling brats and hotdogs on a nice large propane grill. Overall had a wonderful time at Evergreen and highly recommend staying here at this scenic and tranquil spot on the lake. Also close to restaurants and grocery stores."

"The home sits in a Great location in regards to the Lake and nearby amenities, such as Marinas, public beach/national park or nearby convenience stores.Host does a great job in providing everything you’ll need for a fun time at the Lake, all kitchen essentials, game room, grilling station etc.The home was just a delight that our family definitely enjoyed.Communication was prompt and courteous.The only thing we needed was more days to enjoy the area, everything else was just great!During our stay we got rained-in one day but with all provided amenities in the game room we had a blast being indoors, the next day the storm had passed and we were able to enjoy the kayaks and padle board and of course the lake itself. We don’t fish but certainly could have, as we saw plenty of small mouth bass swimming nearby.All in all we recommend this home to anyone looking for a fun getaway at SML."

Private Lakefront Oasis - 5 Bedroom, Private Dock, & Firepit

"This was our 4th trip to SML in 10 years and this property was our favorite! It was very clean, spacious, well equipped with all the essentials and the kitchen area was fantastic. The covered deck with ceiling fan was a favorite spot for morning coffee and after dinner. The view of the lake was wide open and the slope to the boathouse was minimal. The boathouse/dock was large with plenty of area to hang out/fish - in or out of the sun. Because of the low water levels we even had a small beach which worked out for our sea doo since the floating dock was way too low to use (wishing we knew that ahead of time). The house is close to stores and restaurants. Other than a planned interruption in the running water for a few hours (which we were not told about in advance) we really enjoyed our stay."

"This house is such a wonderful spot. The rooms are perfect for lots of guests to all have their own space. Adult rooms are plenty far away from the kids' ! :D The cove that it is in is perfect for swimming and boating out of. The porch has a huge table for dinners which was perfect. This is an older house and the pictures show that. There is some maintenance that could be done to the stairs and such. However, everything is very comfortable and clean and well equipped.A note about the water level, as we were nervous checking in. The dock is not able to be used for boat tie up. We just beached our boat and that worked perfectly ... actually way easier than docking anyway. For swimming, the beaches work perfectly as well. So there was really nothing to worry about and I would/will book this place again even with the low water level."
LAKE TIME: Pet friendly, beautifully furnished classic lake home with gentle lot, deep water, and mountain view. Ping ping, foosball and kayaks included.

"Wonderful stay! Everything in the house was well equipped, fresh and clean. We loved the location. Lots of boat activities to watch from the upper or lower porches or to participate in while others watch from the porches. Hosts could not have been nicer."
