"We stayed for two nights. On the first afternoon our son's girlfriend found black hairs on the sheet that was attached to the pull out couch upstairs. Later that night my wife and I too found black hairs on the sheets of the king size bed downstairs. We brushed them off the best that we could since it was so late when we saw them. Our son's girlfriend ended up sleeping on the couch instead of the pull out bed. I informed the owner via phone, and he told me that he would send a cleaning crew to fix it the next morning. He offered no discount or anything else. I declined the offer because we were only staying two nights. This is the second time that my family has stayed at a VRBO listing and found dirty bed sheets. It's quite obvious that the owners of these establishments hire people to clean up for them, but those people do not do a very good job."

"The unit is perfectly situated in the downtown area. Located directly across from Old Bull Tavern which was excellent for our dinner on first night. Located one block from main shopping area and two blocks to the waterfront. The unit is very old and therefore doesn't seem to have any insulation. It was extremely hot (upper 90's) while we were there and there was no adjusting the mini-split air conditioner. Had to keep the double (2 layers of curtains) curtains closed to block out the heat from the windows, which made the inside very dark. Lighting is also dim. There were only 2 pillows that had pillowcases on them. No kitchen towels, only paper towels. The unit itself is very charming with exposed slurry walls and what appears to be original flooring. Also, there is track lighting but they don't seem to work. A parking pass was included so we were able to park our car about a block away and just walked everywhere which was very convenient. The host was responsive to my messages. I would rent again, but when the weather is not so hot!"
