"The hotel was in a great location but parking at the local multi-storey was very expensive. The breakfast was lovely but our evening meal was very disappointing as there wasn’t much left on the menu. What we did have was very bland. The staff were very friendly and our room was lovely but did overlook people in the restaurant which was a bit invasive."

"Overall, a very reasonably priced place to stay. The Double Room, with ensuite, is situated upstairs in the self-contained converted outhouse. You are in the pitched roof area, so you have to mind your head in places. The bed was reasonably comfortable, if not a little hard. One of the windows can be opened, to allow more air in, but the other window appears to be stuck. The blind is useful. Bathroom is very compact and the shower snug. The kitchen area is shared with other guests in property. No breakfast option was offered, but there is a nice pub (the bull inn) just up the road, or service area for other options. The property owner is very helpful and friendly."

"These are rooms in the new block at the rear (1993). They’re basic, but decent value, we paid £122 for a twin with breakfast. Our room faced a street with bars and restaurants, resulting in street noise through the poor double glazing. The room is also overlooked by many apartments and in the absence of net curtains, this meant we had to close the main curtains for much of the time. Good location in central Cambridge though and it’s a historic college. Breakfast in the Upper Hall was good: hot and cold buffet, shared tables and benches. The rooms are only available at limited times of the year when the main student body are not present."
