"We enjoyed our stay, its an amazing place! The room was well presented, clean and well maintained. Enjoyed climbing the bell tower and taking in the views form the top. Food was good but maybe not great value. The outside areas could do with the glasses etc. clearing a bit more regularly. There was plenty of spare tables and chairs but all dirty. Can't say there was a shortage of bar staff they just weren't very effective. Delivering drinks and then returning to the bar with an empty tray?"

"A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away."

"Swimming pool and spa very relaxing. Garden restaurant pleasant, food average. Breakfast wasn’t explained so we didn’t realise you could order eggs. Bacon was rubbery. Melon all gone by 9am. Pastries could have been fresher. Good tea tray in room. Room was larger than expected. "
