Nice place, very welcoming. Local pubs and good location. Very clean and modern.

I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer. We had a great welcome after walking all day on the Pennine Way. The room was comfortable, clean and met our every need. The evening meal was delicious and ample. We would definitely recommend High Force Hotel.

Lovely staff who were helpful and courteous. Beautiful views and comfortable bedrooms. Clean, nicely decorated with all you need and plenty of space. We had room 5. The food was very good and the choice excellent. Would highly recommend and would certainly return.

My room was gorgeous. Actually, I have stayed here twice and both times had room 1. It is exquisitely decorated. The hotel has free WiFi and the was no problem downloading a webinar with video. The most fabulous thing on my stay were the Christmas decorations. There was a room with an oak beam ceiling hung with over 100 giant snowflakes. The result was stunning.

I had an economy room at an amazing low price and it is in a property immediately next to the hotel. The room is really nice and the bed is very comfortable.

A lovely cottage conveniently located within a stone’s throw of the castle and an easy walk of the Bowes Museum.

Very spacious well equipped cottage situated just off the main street of Barnard Castle right by the parish church. We were able to check in early, which was a big help, and when we arrived we delighted to see how spotlessly clean it was. The beds and furnishing were comfortable and would have no hesitation in reccommending the cottage to our friends and family

Right on Pennine Way in lovely village. Ideally situated for sightseeing also with interesting places nearby.

We went for a family stay and it did not disappoint! Warm cosy and we were welcomed with fresh bread and treats left for us. Karen came down to check everything was ok. They also cleared snow from the awning over the hot tub! Great hosts this is are 2nd visit as a family
