We had a wonderful stay at this hotel - calm and serene with scenic views. The room was clean and spacious. Johan was a great host and provided us lot of relevant information about dining options and things to do in Banos area. My 5 yr old kid loved their patio with hammocks and all their staff was pretty welcoming overall. The breakfast was spectacular and I don't think I have had that good an omelette in a while. Highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again during my next trip to Ecuador.

Family owned accommodation, interacted w/Johann exclusively, he literally always made himself available, speaks fluent English/Spanish plus he goes out of his way to provide useful info, arrange guides/tours with no kickbacks, he was awesome & very nice person. Thanks Johann. Property for us was awesome, low on ‘frills’ but outstanding location on river, nice King bed/ good breakfast w/ homemade items (basic but good, we were happy) A bit away from town, talk to staff & a taxi will show up no problem, or you could walk, we were short in time. I recommend the Zipline tour, 6 zips incredible experience 😃

My stay was a short one but I found this property very nice and accommodating. Where it’s located is very serene and beautiful view of river. The staff is amazing, Johan in particular was so helpful in everything even when we had a flat tire. Exceptional service and breakfast was awesome!

This is an incredibly beautiful place! We had a stunning view from our room, with a balcony and a hammock. We spent a lot of time just gazing! Johan welcomed us and was extremely warm, fun, friendly, and very helpful with suggestions. He was very attentive, but never in an intrusive way. The breakfast was also great, and there's a fantastic view as you eat, of course! I can't imagine anyone not loving this place.

Would absolutely recommend staying here. Johan was an amazing host! He helped our family with every aspect of our trip in Banōs, from renting bikes, ordering take out, laundry, and restaurant suggestions. The breakfast was fantastic as well. We were there two nights, but would have liked to stay longer.

This place is absolutely perfect if i could give it more than a 10 i would Joham is a great guy and went out of his way for us, he spoke english which was a bonus, and was the most hospitable owner we have met on our journey, he still to this day msg's us on how im doing because i became ill(nothing to do with hotel)now thats hospitality.

Fantastic stay!
What a fantastic place to stay! Adorable hotel overall in a beautiful location with clean and comfortable rooms. Host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. Access to a guest kitchen with a fridge was also a bonus.

This place was really cute and run much like a bed and breakfast. The owners live on-site, so they are available to help with anything including recommendations on things to do. The breakfast is included and cooked to order. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They do not provide toiletries (shampoo and conditioner), so bring your own. No a/c, but it wasn't needed.

The property owner is absolutely lovely and very kind. He went above and beyond, including getting up at the crack of dawn to help us get on the road to the airport. The space is amazing, with fabulous views and extremely clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

The town of Baños is a bit overwhelming and Casa Verde makes a beautiful base for exploring the area. It is apart from downtown but very easily connected and Johan helps with any transport needs. Also a wonderful breakfast!

Johan was one of the best hosts I have ever met - period!! He was extremely accommodating with all of our needs / requests, and provided helpful information during our short stay at this property!! He is a great communicator, has a very friendly demeanor, and the fact that he speaks near-perfect English has made the communication super easy!! The room was spacious and comfortable, the homemade breakfast was quite good, and the mountain view from the room and the breakfast room was simply gorgeous!!

Our stay here was incredible. The hotel is beautiful and has an absolutely incredible balcony view of the river. The breakfast was homemade perfection. The staff was sooo helpful with everything regarding the stay. We were set up with local and long distance transportation, tours, and all sorts of awesome local recommendations with no commission involved. The hotel was a little bit out of the main city but was less than a 5 minute drive and taxis are super easy to get ahold of and only cost $2. My favorite part of the hotel was that it wasn’t in the city and had the most wonderful view of the river. Highly highly recommend!

Best hotel experience in all of Ecuador!
We cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about La Casa Verde. After LOTS of research, we were SO HAPPY we stayed here! We woke up every morning to a nice breakfast with a beautiful view. The customer service is UNBEATABLE. We stayed in multiple 5 star hotels in EC including NH in Quito, Oro Verde in Guayaquil, and Ikala in the Galapagos, and guess what — LA CASA VERDE WAS OUR FAVORITE OF ALL. ❤️ We arrived to La Casa Verde around 6 pm. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Johan, the manager. Our stay was just for my boyfriend and I, and we accidentally booked a large family room. Johan had two rooms prepared for us on arrival knowing we may want to change - he offered us a room with one large bed and a balcony (with the most beautiful view we have had!). We gladly took the smaller room, but can also endorse that the larger room was very spacious and perfect for a family! Once settled, we sat with Johan and he spent ~2 hours with us planning how to best accomplish everything we wanted to do. We arrived with zero plans, and Johan spent time calling people to ensure we had had the best guides and experience. Johan also by some amazing miracle arranged us a private vehicle transfer to Guayaquil on NYE (and that drive is almost 7 hours per way!) who spoke English and had a spacious Toyota SUV. Highly recommend Ángel for both your tours and transfers! Thank you, Johan! La Casa Verde has the best reviews of any hotel in Baños and it is very clear why!

A view to remember...!
Amazing! Setting is ideal for relaxation! Johan, our Host, a brilliant young man informative, friendy and always ready to help make our stay comfortable and secure. The well planned breakfasts were a hit with all guests. The staff kept the place immaculately and the views from our BRoom windows as well as the Dining Room will be forever embedded in our memory! You need to stay here! Perfect location, beautiful views, amazing food, and the most hospitable service I have ever experienced. La Casa Verde will not disappoint! It was walking distance from the middle of town, close to everything, but far enough away to be able to fall asleep to the sound of the river. Johan was extremely helpful with arranging activities and transportation, giving us all the details and options available. He asked where we were heading and made calls to check the safety of the roads ahead of time. Best service and conversation! I learned a lot, had an amazing time, and will be back on my next trip through Baños! 💚

Hard to imagine finding a better spot by Banos
I would highly recommend Casa verde. I only had one day in the area but would have liked to stay a few nights. Vitally the wifi was superb, the bed and room clean spacious and comfortable and plentiful hot water pressure. However what really put it over the top was the attention to service and the diligent dedication by Johan to make sure the entire stay was relaxed and comfortable. Helpfully his English was excellent and he went above and beyond to answer all questions about the area. It’s only a few minutes ride from town and a short drive to the amazing waterfall. To top it off the breakfast was down right impressive with home made eggs, breads, jams, and fresh fruits overlooking the gardens on the river.

Johan and his mother were excellent hosts. Since we were there during Covid, we pretty much had the place to ourselves and they let us pick our room out of all the rooms there (even the larger upgraded rooms). Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip all of this was the only place that allowed us to upgrade our room without additional costs. A testament to how the hosts treat their guests. They also had the best breakfast while we were in Ecuador. Pancakes and hash browns!!! The hotel is off the main street so it was very quiet and the rooms had views of the lush green valley. It was a wonderful stay with Johan and his mother. I would highly recommend this place. Johan is a lovely person to sit down with for a chat as well. His knowledge is very broad. His mother is a sort of inventor so my friend and I found them to be quite engaging!

Absolutely amazing place to stay in Banos. It is a bit far from the city centre, but I came to appreciate that right away. Banos is known for it’s adventure activities, but I think some of my favorite moments were just chilling in the hammock at La Casa Verde doing nothing. Johan was very kind and helpful in ensuring I had an enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay again if I make it back to Banos.
