The best time to visit Banks Square is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are generally smaller.

Late spring offers comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 22°C (60°F to 72°F), making it ideal for exploring the historic streets and enjoying outdoor dining. The gardens and parks are in full bloom, adding to the area's appeal. This period is particularly good for couples looking for a romantic getaway, as the warm weather allows for leisurely strolls along the waterfront and relaxed evenings at outdoor cafes.

Early autumn also provides excellent weather, with temperatures usually between 10°C and 18°C (50°F to 65°F), and the added bonus of colourful foliage. This is a great time for solo travellers who enjoy walking tours and visiting museums without the peak summer crowds. The crisp air and beautiful scenery make it great for exploring the many independent boutiques and art galleries around Market Street.

While summer (July and August) is also popular, it can be quite busy and warmer, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 27°C (80°F).
