A really enjoyable and comfortable stay with attentive and friendly staff . A little way out of town but set in a tranquil garden with tuk tuk and hire car at hand at reasonable rates .
The food was good and reasonably priced . One small complaint is that there were only cornflakes as a breakfast cereal . Some good muesli would have been a bonus to go with the apples and bananas provided . Beautiful and clean pool .
Stayed for 3 nights over Holi and had a fabulous time. Hotel staff (especially the Manager) went to endless trouble to make our stay enjoyable. We celebrated Holi with the staff in the beautiful garden. Fab stay!
I had to check in late as I was arriving from Delhi by train. The hotel was able to organise pickup from the station. After checking out in the morning, I left my luggage at the hotel and then did my day-tour of Jaipur before heading to Agra. The room I stayed in was nicely designed and clean. I would stay here again.
You feel part of the family at the Sugan Niwas Palace. As soon as you enter to check-in, you're greeted with a soft drink and a welcoming word by the owner/manager. As you're made welcome, the manager supplies you with the history of the place you stay and makes you feel welcome into the *family*, as well providing the usual recommendation of what important activities that you could do. The room was very generous in terms of space, though note that you have to turn on the hot water system a good 10-15 min before you're ready to use it. The location is not too bad, though you'll find an abundance of local transport available and it feels you're in a local suburb back home. You can plan your day trips to the forts with their recommended driver, who was an extreme joy to deal with. Highly recommend this for you at this value.
It's a well-maintained, no-frills hotel. We had no complaints till we checked out when we were told that we had to pay for five days' breakfast, which we hadn't been told about. We were not told that breakfast was not complimentary, nor were we made to sign a bill at the end of breakfast as we should we have been. We were not the only ones who were clueless. When we were checking out there was another guest who was as puzzled as we were.
Located to the west of the walled old city, Bani Park is a residential and commercial neighborhood of Jaipur. Many hotels, catering to various budgets, as well as Bani Park's proximity to the railway station and the central bus stand, make it a popular choice for tourists. Try the Rajasthani vegetarian fast-food at Madhuram Fast Food or Chaiwalas Snacks before venturing off to explore the city.
