"This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). "The boars head was such a lovely place to stay was noisy Saturday night as you’d expect but the whole time we were there was great. The staff the food the atmosphere couldn’t be faulted same with the food that was delicious and the breakfast was good too. Would definitely stay there again"

"I felt very welcomed by everyone, lovely staff, great breakfast, the parking was gratefully appreciated. My bedroom was lovely but due to previous heatwaves, the room was very warm due to its 300 yr old construction, I opened the window for cooler air which helped a bit. Hope to return again."
