Horwood House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Friendly staff. Limescale in toilet and splash stains on wall by radiator. Could do with more storage I.e. drawers in bedside tables. Comfy bed, nice dark room. Breakfast good, maybe a cold meat & cheese section would be nice. Our room was near amenities so noisy first and last thing, some signs reminding guests to be quiet would be helpful. We stayed for two nights, overall excellent we would definitely recommend and return"

"Good location to see Oxford and surroundings. Was there related to a confernece, the hotel provides a modern yet cozy place to stay. Staff this time were very kind and showed great hospitality, in particular front desk and coffee shop."

"It’s in nice grounds, well kept and clean. Rooms are mostly suitable for families as they have bunk beds as well. Basic but clean and bed was comfy. Bar and restaurant staff were very friendly."

"Nice welcome. Good price. Room a long walk from the lift on 4th floor. Clean, comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Sadly there are no baths throughout the hotel. The TV menu did not work, only BBC worked but it pixelated. They offer ear plugs as not everyone likes city noises , I am surprised having stayed at Heathrow/Gatwick /Birmingham NEC hotels with double glazing blocking airport noises, that the traffic at the Northampton traffic lights etc was so close and was very prominent. I did not eat at the hotel or do breakfast as I was at a conference at a nearby hotel."

"Fantastic value. Lovely staff. Room spacious with a fantastic shower and comfortable bed. Only marked down on facilities as we didn't use any :) Beautiful grounds, great for a walk. Plenty of parking too. We were in the area for the British Motor Museum so great location!"

"Lovely convenient hotel. Super location and easy to get to the main part of Stratford. The hotel is clean and has ample parking at the rear. The room too was clean. But is literally a bed. A couple more things would have made our stay more comfortable. Such as more than one pillow each, a mirror in the room would be good also just a bin. There are no hair dryers or iron in the room. On whole a good hotel for a short stay."
