"We had a very nice time staying at Torre Mar. It was very conveniently located. We were 5 families...me (the mom) and my 4 kids, their spouses and 6 grandkids. Everyone had their own "suite". The advertising is a little confusing. I thought we were renting a "home", and then realized it was an apartment/hotel....but as I said, it was very nice for each family to have private space. The owner John was very friendly, although we did have some miscommunication issues, which is interesting...

What made the experience especially memorable, however, was the genuine warmth and care shown by everyone at the hotel. The general manager was always generous with his time and local knowledge. He answered our many questions, helped us make the most of our days on Santa Cruz, and pointed us to the right local contacts when we needed something. On one stressful occasion, when we left an important item in a remote part of the island, he went far beyond anything we could reasonably have expected, helping us explore possible ways to locate it and coordinating assistance with other parties that ultimately led to its recovery. We were incredibly grateful! We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and would absolutely stay here again! Thank you, entire Maidith team, for making our time in Puerto Ayora so special!"
