Nice view from the room. If you want to go for free thermal , remember to bring along along your swim suit. The location is also excellent and convenient.

Good overall
Nice hotel. Be prepared to walk up the hill if you go to the town. There's a way via the stairs or the park, but both quite hard after a day of hiking. The only annoying part was the housekeeping cominh early on a Sunday (8:30am) while we're still sleeping. Other than that enjoy the free access to the spa close by.

We are Americans and were in town for a conference
Bergfrieden was an excellent choice. Very tasty formal German breakfast included - meats, breads, yogurts, fruit, juices, coffee and tea. Well tended rooms. Fluffy blankets. Very sufficient for the American traveller.

Great little homely hotel, clean and modern rooms, very comfortable, a little annoying there's no Wifi in the rooms and parking can be a pain, but it's cheap and a nice place.

TOP Hotel! Sehr Empfehlenswert
Wir waren nur für eine Übernachtung im Hotel können aber dennoch sagen, dass wir auch sehr gerne länger in dem Hotel residieren könnten. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber und endlich mal ein Hotel, in dem man auch im 5. Stock unter der Dusche genügend Wasser(druck), egal ob kalt oder warm hatte. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht groß, hat aber alles geboten, was das Herz begeht und was leer war wurde sofort nachgefüllt. Alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Einziges Mango sind die wenigen (kostenlosen) Parkplätze. Allerdings ist das Parkhaus der Vital Therme nur wenige Meter daneben und für ein paar Euro steht das Auto "trocken und sicher".

Uns hat die Lage sehr gut gefallen. Schnell war man im Ort, der Therme, der Bergbahn oder dem Kurpark. Alle Zimmer haben einen grossen Balkon. Frühstück wird wegen Corona gerade am Tisch serviert. Bestellt wird am Vorabend. Man wird schnell bedient und es war lecker.

Negativ: Es ist eher ein älteres Publikum vertreten (Ü70 +). Kostenfreie Parkplätze nicht für alle Gäste verfügbar da der hauseigene Parkplatz für die grösse des Hotels viel zu klein ist (es können allerdings relativ günstige Parktickets für das 100 m entfernte Parkhaus gekauft werden) Positiv: In direkter Nähe der Sommerbergbahn (ca 150 m)

Hotel sur les hauts de Bad Wildbad (Foret noire) Joli site. trés calme. Trés propre. Service aimable et arrangeant. Seul point noir l'accès quand on ne connait pas le GPS. Il faut y accéder de la sortie du tunnel et pas du stadtmitte TB

Für Wanderfreunde lohnt es sich
Bad Wildbad ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Der Baumwipfel-Pfad ist ein wirkliches Erlebnis. Die Stadt selber ist alt und viele Häuser sind ungepflegt und hat, außer dem Kurpark, nichts zu bieten. Gut ist die Bahnverbindung nach Pforzheim.

A pleasant interlude in the Schwartzwald
Bad Wildbad: a picturesque and pleasant town in which we spent two days, enjoying good food and wine, and forest walks from a comfortable base in the Hotel Bergfrieden.

Na j, wenn die Zufahrtsstrasse wg. Bauarbeiten gesperrt ist und die Umleitung 10 km quer durch den Schwarzwald führt und 25 min länger dauert, kann das Hotel nix dafür, ist aber trotzdem lästig

Die tolle Lage des Hotels (nahe Park, Thermalbad, Bergbahn) ermöglichte auch für Rentner aktiven Urlaub.

Name Berghotel ist zutreffend
Es ist nun mal ein Hotel in einem Kurort. Gelegen ganz oben am Berg. Parkplätze kostenlos, Fehlanzeige wenn alle (10) belegt sind. Dann muss man in eine nahe gelegene Tiefgarage (kostenpflichtig). Frühstück, na ja geht so. Das Hotel wirkt ähnlich einem Altersheim. Hat wahrscheinlich damit zu tun, daß die Leute die hier übernachten ihre Verwandte besuchen die in den umliegenden Kliniken untergebracht sind. Zum gegenüberliegenden Bäderhaus (sollte man gesehen haben) sind es ca 300 Meter. Sonst ist in diesem Kaff nichts los. Frechheit hoch 3 ist allerdings der Preis. 104 Euro bezahlt für eine Nacht über Expedia. Auf der Homepage steht 90 Euro. Dazu kommt noch die Kurtaxe in Höhe von 12 Euro. Der Preis ist definitiv nicht gerechtfertigt. das Bäderhaus war ok, aber den Rest würde ich nicht wieder anreisen.

Altbackenes Hotel in Stadtnähe
Das Hotel stammt aus den sechziger Jahren - und das sieht man auch. Im Zimmer gab es zwar neuwertige Möbel und renovierte Wände und Decke, das Bad entsprach jedoch noch dem Standart von 1968. Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstücksbüffet war etwas dürftig in der Auswahl, wenn insgesamt auch noch ausreichend. Für annähernd 100 Euro pro Nacht für das Doppelzimmer bin ich besseres gewohnt, zumal Bad Wildbad sicherlich nicht mit Städten wir Hamburg, München oder Berlin mithalten kann. Die Bewertung erschließt sich also aus dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Jyrkän mäen päällä oleva hotelli, jossa henkilökunnan englanninkielentaito ei mitenkään mainittavan hyvä. Aamupala hyvin pelkistetty. Huoneet siistejä, vanhanaikaiset wc:t ja suihkut. Hotellin huonemaksuun sisältyy sisäänpääsy läheiseen Vital Therme- kylpylään. The hotel is located on a steep hill. The staff doesn't speak good english, but you'll manage. The breakfast is very plain. The rooms are neat, bathrooms oldfashioned. Access to a nearby spa Vital Therme is included in the room charge.
