"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"This is a lovely well appointed cottage, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. It is clearly a period property with low ceilings in most rooms, narrow stairs and a beam in the floor of the main bedroom. All of this adds to its charm but would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. "Lily pad could be wonderful. Its setting is beautiful. I was really looking forward to staying. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard. It stank and the noise of the macerator and vent was horribly noisy. Paymán expected me to stay let a handyman try and fixit.he was due to get to me in an hour. I had arrived at 5:40 at 6:50they...

"Convenient location halfway between the train station and the town centre. Really fantastic reception staff, lovely relaxing breakfast area overlooking the green, and very clean rooms including bathroom and kitchenette with new furnishings and fixtures. Downsides would be that the road-facing rooms are a little loud, and for a couple the bed is rather small. Neither were an issue for a single night stay but something to consider if staying for longer. Overall a positive experience though."
