We arrived in darkness and were welcomed into a cosy bar with an open fire and comfy lounge area. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and had even offered to prepare us a meal as we wouldn’t be arriving before the kitchen closed at 9pm. The room was beautiful and I loved the style, a lovely nip of whiskey awaited us and some shortbread. The room was immaculate with cosy dressing gowns. Lovely location, staff very helpful and kind. Rooms clean and well stocked with coffee etc. View from our room was stunning and the temperature in the room was perfect, the ability to open the window at night was good. The menu was not the largest and didn't change through the week but the food we did have was excellent.

This was a perfect find. Although the room we had was a little small it was immaculately clean and very warm. Bed was big and very comfy. Added value were the spa and sauna. The Restaurant was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was exceptional and the homemade muffins a real treat.Although this was more expensive than other hotels, if you make use of all on offer it is a great choice. We absolutely loved our stay at the Marmalade and wished we had more time to stay even longer. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had on our 3-week trip, the views are incredible, beds comfortable, and facilities / grounds very clean and beautiful. 10/10 highly recommend!

Great hotel, reasonably priced room and food. Food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Great quality large mattress on the bed and large flat screen TV. Loved the bear and wellies as room accessories to indicate 'do not disturb' or 'please clean room'. Homemade shortbread in the room was a nice touch. Fire in bar very cheerful, made for a good atmosphere. Stunning views from the dining room. Can't fault it.

Great hotel on the water with an excellent restaurant. It was hard to find a hotel on the Isle of Skye, but we were extremely fortunate to find a room here on short notice.

Hotel was really nice we booked last minute and the views near by are amazing Gent on reception/bar/kitchen was really polite and helpful as he was there on his own because of holiday season Internet was down due to a bad storm that made the stay more remote as civilisation and home comforts were almost 1.5 hours away Don’t let that put you off when fully staffed and WiFi working I can only imagine the stay would be even better
