The French Riviera resort of Antibes makes for an ideal holiday destination along the Cote d’Azur, with its charming cobblestone streets, 16th-century ramparts and surrounded by plenty of sugar sand beaches. The town also has a wealth of attractions and hotels to suit all types of visitors, from upscale luxury to laidback budget.
Many of the hotels in Antibes and its neighbour Juan-les-Pins have swimming pools, so you can make the very most of the French Riviera’s pleasant Mediterranean climate, especially during the warmer months of the year. While most of the luxury hotels in Antibes have their own outdoor swimming pools with spas, many of the family-friendly resorts also have pools with kid-friendly features such as water chutes and baby pools. Even if you’re looking for self-catering in one of Antibes apartment hotels, you could consider one with a community swimming pool. Hotels with pools make for a great addition to any Antibes holiday, providing entertainment for the kids, allowing you to relax, unwind after a business meeting or keep fit while you’re away.
If you can tear yourself away from the hotel pool for long enough, you’ll find that Antibes has a wide variety of attractions to choose from, not least the beautiful parasol-lined beaches. The old walled town of Antibes itself is home to the excellent Picasso Museum, housed in the impressive Chateau Grimaldi, as well as the large Fort Carré. On the edge of town lies some of the area’s top family attractions, the Marineland theme parks: Marineland, Kids’ Island, Marineland Lagoon and Adventure Golf.
Another of the area’s main attractions loved by children and adults alike are the beaches, the best of which can be found in Juan-les-Pins. Here, visitors will find a range of beaches, from luxury ones belonging to private restaurants, to traditional ones, kid-friendly ones and those for water-sports enthusiasts. Holidaymakers will find even more entertainment options in the lower Alpes d’Azur nearby with adventure sport activities such canyoning, hiking, mountain biking and climbing.
