(37 reviews) One of the best hotels in Arashiyama. Spacious, modern rooms. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Special thanks to Ms Rinka. I lost my wallet while walking between a restaurant and the hotel, and Ms Rinka volunteered to take me to the police station and help me file the police report. Turns out someone had found the wallet and brought it to the police station, so I was able to retrieve my wallet and nothing was lost. Hats off also to the officers at the police station and the person who found the wallet. (1,965 reviews) Rooms was on the larger side for Tokyo. Staff who checked us in said he'd upgraded us to a larger room. It was a corner room overlooking the street. Hotel is a bit weird location wise. The entrance is from the alley behind the street, and the lobby is on the second floor. So you check in on the second floor. Easy once you understand, confusing the first time. There is a drug store as well as a Lawson's on the first floor. Hotel is close to the train station, so easy to get around. Trains have tap in / tap out, so use a credit card / phone etc to tap into the station, use same card / device to tap out. Very convenient. Parking is a bit awkward. There is a huge underground parking just opposite the hotel in the street. But it is confusing to get into. Lots of one ways, and confusing to find the entrance. Once you find the car entrance, lots of parking. The human exit is right next to the hotel. Onsen was fine, though limited onsen amenities compared to other Onsens we have used.
