I stay 4 nights in there and really like First night a Romanian girl was in reception I’m sorry I’m really bad with the names but she was super helpful we didn’t get breakfast but we were drinking coffee for free ☺️ and was good Close to everywhere bc we love to walk

very small room
with our luggages, we barely fit in the room. very small. but this is not that bad compare to the bathroom condition, it was really old and VERY small, so the shower has a curtain that constantly touches your body when you shower (it's very uncomfortable) I hit my head twice using the toilet because the sink was very very very close to it. But the staff were super friendly and nice. They helped us to check in like 2-3 hour earlier if you want to stay like for a day, it might be tolerable but not more than that

Good basic hotel
Ideally located easy to use the No 4 tram into city centre (also a short walk to Metro, No 1/7/19 tram to other parts city). Breakfast is perfectly adequate with good selection of options to choose from. Its a basic hotel, but was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were very helpful. Pefect for a short stay

Great stay
Great stay, had 3 nights in the Hotel. Room was in the attic so had small stairs to climb but they were fine. Breakfast daily was fab and plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay here again when I return to Amsterdam and would recommend.

Cosy Hotel, clean and tidy!
A cosy hotel with excellent staff who were so very helpful, the rooms although small were clean and tidy and do beware of the steep stairs. Breakfast was excellent with basic, but good food! Overall a great stay for a weekend getaway!

Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was the room was very small and cramped for two single beds and had no furnishings for clothing except a tiny cupboard with a couple of coat hangers!!

Lovely staff... We got a room that was right beside a communal toliet which was very loud. The walls are very thin. The bed was comfortable and the place was warm. The breakfast was nice and they do a gluten free options if you ask the staff.

Good - breakfast available until 10am. - check out time at 11am. - located close to tram stop. Not so good - heading down the stairs to breakfast was dangerous. Steep stairs is fine, but the 1 and only (floor to ceiling) ballustrade had become detatched fromt the ceiling and the handrail on the other side was loose - dangerous when trying to support yourself going up and down. My wife nearly fell due to that ballustrade not being attached. - acoustics in the bedroom; could constantly hear traffic noise at night. - bed had a ridge in the middle, making one half lower than the other.

The location was very good. The front desk and kitchen staff were also nice and helpful. The elevator was the only option for getting up and down. I rate my experience overall positively. My only real complaint would be the elevator situation

Great place to rest after seeing the city.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to base yourself as you go out into the city. Nice comfortable bed. Friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast is the standard hotel buffet fare (which personally enjoy) and included in the price. Excellent wifi also included in the price. Surrounding area has a supermarkets close by as well as a good range of very nearby restaurants. The museum quarter is 15 minutes walk away and a tram stop that will take you directly to Dam and Centraal is right across the road. If you're looking for a place where the hotel itself is to be a large part of your trip then perhaps look at a different style of hotel.

Small room which had mice
We arrived at the hotel early and were told we could check in early. However, once we were past reception we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the the corridors through the hotel. There is only one small lift which is the only access to 2nd and 3rd floors and often had to wait as it was full when coming to the second floor, or access to the lift was being blocked by the cleaners. The room we were given was small, although this wasn't a problem in itself the shower room was tiny and felt very claustrophobic. Breakfast was fine, other than the mess and dirt in the surrounding areas caused by building work being undertaken. On the final night if our stay we were woken by rustling around our suitcase which was caused by two mice. We tried to call reception to find the phone was broken so had to go downstairs to report it. The only response we were given was that "Amsterdam has mice". When we requested they came to the room to remove them they noticed that there was a hole in our wall that was usually blocked with something that had been uncovered their solution was to stuff something into the hole and that was it. Not a good hotel, unless you like mice and sleepless nights

Room 101 is very noisy
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and varied with fresh fruit and I loved the fresh boiled eggs and yogurt and bread. The breakfast staff were very efficient in clearing the tables and providing foods as soon as they were finished, very kind and helpful. We were in room 101 and as this was on the road level we did not sleep for 2 whole nights traffic was noisy all the night and the scooters passed just next to the windows, people talking loudly just in front of the windows. Very badly insulated and I think this room should not be rented for holidaymakers especially at the price we paid. We mentioned this to the staff but the hotel was fully booked and they were very sorry to not be able to move us.

Had a fantastic 5 night stay at the hotel ibis style Amstel the only thing I was disappointed by was the staff not cleaning the room each day only twice and we stay for 5 nights also there was work going on in the building and it woke me and my partner up and half 7 in the morning
